OP did you sort out the issue with the phone0

The Samsung phone he's selling only has an option for 1st class standard postage. Does this mean that if it gets erm, lost in the post, he doesn't have a signature or proof of tracking for his paypal defence if someone was erm, to say it hadn't erm arrived?0

I see there are some lovely Welsh flags for sale. Now I know most won't have much interest in them but the postage is only £1.49.
I wonder if that is recorded or just 1st class. I mean, if they just went by ordinary 1st class, they'd work it verry cheap flags indeed if you know what I mean.0 -

not yet, just drafting some text in my defence. ... will probably send paypal something like this: ... (ps: im fully expecting to lose the paypal case as they back the buyer 99.99% of the time)....
The buyer complained that the screen is smashed + keyboard is broken. From the photos on my auction it is very clear this is not the case. He sent a close up photo claiming to be the broken keypad. The photo featured a GREY keypad whereas it is clear from my auction photos my phone and keypad is black.Despite this I said to the buyer that I was happy to provide him with a full refund if he returns the phone to me. The buyer was insistent on keeping the phone yet complained that it was not as described.
I cannot process a refund unless he returns the phone to me, which despite my best efforts to ask him to do so he is very reluctant post the phone back to me.
I note that he has purchased several similar models. Possibly he is confused as to what hebought from each seller.
However I also note from contacting other sellers that have dealt with him including ebay users XXXXXXXXXX, XXXXXXXXXX
that he is attempting to claim refunds from them too. so I find it much more likely that this is infact a fraudulent claim.
I am happy to provide evidence for the above. Please contact me if you need more information.
In summary, I am happy to process a refund but he must send me the phone back. However, this buyer has a history of harassing the people he deals with by inventing non-existent faults in the phones he buys. I have the evidence and am happy to provide more information.0 -

I do hope things work out for you, I’ve had similar issues in the past selling on ebay and got no where in the end trying to win dispute cases, i just hate the fact that paypal and ebay protect scammers over genuine sellers.
Ebay do need to get to grips with the problem, I would go else where but ebay is one of those necessary evils0 -
Dont know if this was mentioned back in the thread, but have you considered filing a police report? This is fraud, and maybe a crime reference number will help Paypal?0

Good luck with this and make sure you keep us updated.

in reality i dont think there is enough evidence to file a police report, and really...would they care?? We're only talking a £10 phone here, not a scam worth £1000's0 -

i would edit your response to say that the keypad was reported smashed some days after said purchase and include buyers email to this effect.Give blood - its free0
