I have a roof on a bungalow that is covered in lichen and being of some age the coping tiles look as if they need replacing - I would really like to have it cleaned off, minor repairs done, coping replaced and have the tiles coated with something that will inhibit the lichen, prolong their life and ideally re-colour the roof.

The company that called today were TalorMade from Pyle but they were using Andura so obviously worried. The price is what I am looking for as I cannot afford a roof replacement (c £10,000) but this renovation work supposedly included any necessary repairs for around £3k.

The advice here is always to contact local builders - not sure how you find a good one who is interested in renovation of roofs and how do I know a local builder is more reliable - they are either cowboys or charge the earth. Ideally I want someone who can do the same kind of job accepting anything they might come across in the job -so there are no nasty surprises

People say that Andura coatings are no good so what coatings are good and carry a good guarantee?

are they planning to spray the tiles?

TBH, spraying roofing is beyond my ken but I'd would be worried about spraying anything that is designed to move slightly and allow airflow in the cavity/attic.
