Just to update this discussion, Anduraguard are now calling themselves Global Home Protection and they are using Hi marketing to do the cold doorstepping. Global H P are selling basically the same product and using the same selling methods. They are currently working in South Somerset. Avoid, I think.

Thanks for updating us about this scum of the earth.
  • Hi

I had my house treated by a sister company (Mosaic ERP) about 5 years ago. I knew at the time they weren't to be trusted but felt under pressure by the hard sale to accept. It still plays on my mind. Do I still have a right to complain?

    Any opinions appreciated,

    Sam
  • Andura wall coatings are based in bicester, namely murdock road where they have a factory producing coating paints. This factory will supply you with paint provided you only purchase from them and you are a registered business. So if you have a van,the airlesss gun,and a good general knowledge of building work and pay the piper off you go and start your textured coating company.Years ago this factory was owned by brian deluc paints but was bought up after he passed on but the paint was then a 10th of todays price.KENITEX was a leading texture coating company who used to advertise in the daily telegraph saying OUTSIDE HOUSE PAINTING NOW ELIMINATED and look what happened to them in the UK after bad publicity, they no longer exist and 1000s of customers GUARANTEES where worthless as the paint that did not crack, peel, and eliminated damp did just that.BEWARE OF ANYTHING THAT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE AND SAVE 1ooos 0f ££££££££S
  • has anyone had the andura system applied to their home ? i know there are disreputable companies using this product and this thread mainly concerns them and their high prices - but what about the product if correctly applied ? has anyone used it? as it seems that its the bad practise most people are against. we have a local company which is Fairtrade and Trustmark approved and would like some input from anyone who has actual experience of the product - thanks

thanks - what went wrong with it - do you think it is a bad product (is British Standard easyto con?) or was it "cowboys" with quickfix training that caused theproblem?

hi sam , was Andura used and has it gone wrong? or are you upset by the price paid? are they still trading - you could complain if the product has failed if it was guaranteed ,

it's probably both , my nieghbour had his house done by some firm , with in 6 years it started to peel and flake off, he tried to cliam on his "25 year" gaurantee, needless to say the firm were no longer trading , today it looks terrible and it will take a lot of work and money to put right . i can't say if all houses they treat with the stuff are in the same state , but the ones i come across are not in a good conditin

The spray on Andura and bog standard dulux weathershield are both rated by the BBA at 15 years. The later however is cheaper to buy and apply and more "forgiving" with regard to preparation and re-application later on down the line.
