Surely they are not that inefficient? Why don't they just cancel and be done with or give in. The old pacemaker can't take much more of this.
From what i understand, those who paid by credit card did not have the money debited from their accounts. However, others like me paid by switch and the money was taken straight away. Maybe those who have not had money taken off them are being cancelled whilst others- who have paid, are more difficult for apple to cancel? ...Just a thought anyway.0 -

when you pay by credit card the money goes into a holding pattern , ie it credit card company set aside that amount of money so that it is readily available when the supplier requests it.... a sort of money limbo...
what it means is if your credit limit was only £100 you would have found that once the order for camera was taken your credit card was now at its limit so useless....so while no actual monies may as yet been handed over the money is still not available for your use.
you may have apoint in that if indeed those who paid by switch are actually out of pocket that is another nail in apples coffin in that they really must be committed to make some sort of substitute offer....
who knows this may all be pure specualtion and the gallons of wonderful yummy cider that i have consumed over the last few days has at last turned my brain to mush ...how quick you can of all things apple ....0 -

I did suggest ( tongue in cheek ) to the CS Superviser that when this hits the media that they may have to change name from Apple to Windfall . LOL !

OK, just had a call back - which I was fortunate enough to record! She did tell me she was within her rights to hang up when I said the call was being recorded, but was very friendly and continued to talk to me.
The cameras were withdrawn due to a pricing error; they are not available at that price, but will be at a higher price. I told her that this contravenes their T&Cs and she said no contract is formed between myself and Apple until they take payment. Think maybe I will call Trading Standards now.0 -

I think you'd come to that conclusion if you did the same for any large company!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
