Is this strictly true. The camera is still available and no components are needed so according to 2.6 of their (original) terms they should supply.

i think we all have to agree is that apple are going to weasel out this one... for my part i think they would be on ahiding regarding changing the t&c's mid flow and given the fact that the camera was on sale on thier site long afterI ordered surely belittles any argument from them that they cant now supply ..lack of stock or whatever ....

Id have had more respect for apple if they had put thier hands up and said sorry we made a mistake please dont hammer us for it....

Where can you still see the camera? - couldn't find it myself on their site.

Has anyone checked their order status screen on the Apple site to see if that says cancelled? I am in limbo at the moment - my order screen still says 'not yet shipped' but I cannot check my email as my institution's email server went down on 1st Jan and no-one is due in until tomorrow to reset it.

They removed it from their site but that's not what the T&Cs refer to. They say if they cannot source the item or components then they can cancel it.

Just to be pedantic I mailed them to clarify their wording. I knew they'd weasel out but a bald faced lie kinda sucks. C'mon Apple, give us something better. A 5 page legal document, something. Show us you worked your asses off to try and get out of this.

The mail says the orders are all on hold and will be cancelled soon (I'm don't quite understand the reasoning behind this but *shrugs*).

Shame they couldn't be bothered with a more official looking email.

I've just had the '!!!!!! off' email as well.

Perhaps we should advise them that Olympus do still actually make this camera, so further stocks WILL be available....
