as said previously, the reason apple have not shipped/cancelled/or e-mailed anyone is probably due to getting their legal team in to see if there is any possible way out of this balls up.

and they are probably scouring the web search pages for forums like this to see where the thousands of orders have come from in such a short period!

so we may have company! ;)

You might like to try this from the DVD forums. When you go to the education website
http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukInd and clicking accept, you agree to the t&c's linked at the bottom of the page. http://store.apple.com/Catalog/uk/I...individual.html which still dont refer to any pricing error. The MSE link is for instituions which I dont think anyone will have tried to order as.

I haven't affiliated these links as they are not to products but if you are ordering something else use this link Apple Store

I also like their defined terms ""Order Confirmation" means the order confirmation issued by us to you indicating acceptance of your Order;" I think they have hung themselves out to dry but fully expect the answer will be no and thay wont budge. Can always hope though.

My order doesn't look too hopeful, no money taken from card still. Oh Well.

if you paid by credit card your available credit will show that they have allocated the funds.

It won't show in your balance

    2. Microsoft have far lower protection for buying their software without proof. Why should apple want more.

Perhaps because Apple doesn't have a bottomless "war-chest" of funds, nor is it so paranoid about losing market share.

if it hadn't been for the ipod most industry observers presumed Apple would have been bankrupt or in serious financial difficulties by now.

Apple cannot afford to honour this misprice (no matter how much I wish they would) if it has been taken up by the numbers we presume, although Microsoft could easily afford it.
