I'm still really confused about this, why are some people initiating their ISA payouts? How do you even do that? Apologies for my stupidity but I really, really, really don't get whether I have to select the BACS option, and if not, why is it there, and what are people doing when they say they're initiating the payment?0

got 2nd email last thursday, money in my linked account today. very efficient by the FSCS, full credit to them. thank god this horrible experience is over.
my days of being a rate tart, however, are over too. there are too many self-appointed 'experts' out there (this site included) who don't know what they are talking about.0 -

I logged out and was able to login again despite being warned that I would not be able to. I'm now in the position that I don't know whether my money will be moved or not; anyone any ideas?
If your claim has been successful, you'll get a confirmation email from the FSCS. Mine did not come immediately, it arrived the following day. I waited to get my 2nd email before trying to claim.0 -

You claim the Isa funds, they go back to your main account, wait about two weeks and you will receive a certificate that allows you to re-invest the money in a new Isa account.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

When you get the second email, log in to your account
There will be a link to Initiate Claim
Click on it and type in how much you want to withdraw (all of it)
There are two Accept boxes to tick along with the details of your Linked Account details.
The BACS issue isn't selectable, it simply transfers as BACS.
Check both boxes and click Confirm.
You get another warning (about not being able to log back into your account) and you click confirm again.
Print the resultant page as proof of your withdrawal.0 -

Same with my OH, he has a joint account and his own ISA, we can still access his account, and have so far only received one confirmation email for the claim.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
