Second email arrived now ... after I claimed the money ... amazing stroke of luck. I claimed the money ... while FSCS were in process of posting it ... Mail went straight in the SPAM bucket, but I saw it coming ... as I expected it to come any second now.

Nice one, SunKing. What a pleasant surprise! Just tried again for the 2nd time today and still no joy. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever be permitted to claim!

now i just need mine lol
  • What's the latest feelings on people with fixed terms opting to keep the money invested to the end of the original term please? Is there any clarification in the 2nd email?

Exactly. I am the best example unfortunately... I received my 1st e-mail on the 4th Nov, no sign of the 2nd one as yet...

I hope everyone else gets their 2nd e-mails soon and can then get their money back and not have to worry about it. I received my first e-mail on the 4th as well but received my second on the 14th and having initiated claim on 15th (saturday) I received funds in my linked current account on 19/11 (wednesday).

Keep the faith peeps, your time will come. Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting.

  • Got my second e mail 10 minutes ago, and have made claim.

I am delighted with this result, and the speed with which it has been sorted.

I was expecting to be waiting until next year, and initially fearful of getting all my money back at all.

    Well done FSCS.

My wife did not receive the first email and neither did I until I switched off the Eclipse ISP Spamtrap. I then received the first email, however my wife still didn't get the first email.

So I followed the advice from FSCS which promptly generated the first email. To which she returned a blank response. Which generated another copy of the first email. To which she responded, as advised in FAQ 8, with the word "CONFIRM". Which generated a copy of email No. 1.........

Anyone want a copy - we've got plenty. But no email No.2 yet .....

Patience being tested to the limit here - and this large builder gentleman still waiting to be paid. HELP!

I got my first email quite promptly on 5th Nov - thought no more re the joint account with husbands name first.

Got the second email today - but cannot initiate the claim on the joint account - did the other 3 .

Rang and had to send blank!!! email to FSCS and told to wait for first and second email - they seemed surprised that we had the same email address!!!

Anyone else had to do this?

I had to change my husbands email address on his Icesave account as they kept sending me the first email again in my name. Seems to have worked he now has 3 first emails!!!
