Is the second email just telling you that your account is now ready for transfer out?

Yes, the problem is though if everyone keeps logging in to check it may make the server busy which will then hold up people who are able to remove their funds and this may slow down the rate that they enable the initiate button for those of us who are still waiting.

I don't see a problem with logging on once a day to check though. :)

Just my opinion, others will think different.

Well at least it takes the pressure off! I have been tearing my hair out all day, I am in a worse state now that the payouts have started than I was before, I suppose it's frustrating reading here of some many people getting theirs but not us one feels left out!

Can I just check something? Has anyone who didn't initially get a 1st email, but then emailed FSCS and got an automated one, been sent a 2nd email (and then perhaps had success with the 'initiate' button)? I'm still concerned that I don't feel I got a 'real' email as I asked for mine?! Does this make sense or is it all getting a bit too much for me now?....

Lorb, I think I did read earlier today on one of the threads that someone in your position had received the 2nd email and successfully transfered funds. So I don't think you need to worry (well, no more than a lot of us are doing already).

Roll on tomorrow and best of luck to everyone. I regard Chelsea and Liverpool losing their Carling Cup matches as a good omen - Arsenal may yet win some silverware this season. ;)

    Just a quick comment.

When you see the note thus
If you do not see any options below then you are currently unable to initiate your FSCS claim. Once you have received your email notification please log back into your account and initiate your FSCS claim.

Do make a careful look to find the Blue Text underneath the message inviting you to

    INITIATE YOUR CLAIM

This blue wording isn't exactly a button 'per se' but it is a link to the next page of the process.

It strikes me that just possibly people aren't noticing this fact.

I received the 2nd email today and initiated the transfer early this evening. There a note saying to print statements as you won't be able to log in again once the process is completed.
I have just tried to log in again and was able to do so, the option to initiate the FSCS refund is still there, also I can view my statements.
Has anyone else tried logging in after completing the compensation process. If so what do you see?

Nigel - If your claim was submitted successfully, you should [maybe several hours later] receive a third e-mail with a subject of "Claim" - confirming that your instructions have been received.

    Thanks for that information.
I got a confirmation on the website after going through the process but haven't yet received a third email 6 hours later. The fact that I can still log on and the facility to initiate the process is still there makes me suspicious that something didn't work as it should. Will wait and see what has happened if anything in the morning.
Did you get a seperate confirmation email for each account?

Don't worry that it didn't work. If you try to Initiate for a second time you get the message that it has already been done. You do get a separate confirmation e mail for each account, in my case 8 hours later.

Still not received mine yet and I was wondering : do you have to do anything (like acknowledge receipt) when the e-mail arrives? Because, presumably, ICEsave enable each account when they send the e-mail, and don't know when or if it arrives. If so, you don't necessarily have to have received it, it just has to have been sent for the account to be activateable (if there is such a word).
