Here we have people worried that they don't get confirmation yet there are many of us tearing our hair out not having received the 2nd email yet!:mad:0 -
In my opinion ....
The random nature in which the emails are being sent out is part of the security measures. If we don’t know when it’s our turn neither do any potential hackers. They could spend hours trying to break into someone’s account only to find that the legitimate owner has already logged in and transferred the money out or opted to lock in a fixed rate deal. That said the accounts are protected by “two factor” authentication, which means in addition to breaking someone’s password you also need to know a “secret” and enter a sequence of characters associated with that secret.
This is a pretty powerful protection especially if you apply the following rules to any password you create :
Always include at least one capital letter
Always include at least one lower case letter
Always include at least one number (0—9)
Always include at least one special character (! $ £ ? etc)
Of course non of the above prevents Governments from taking over a bank and stealing savers money !!0 -
To quote a well known phrase "I don't believe it"
Ornage have "technical issues" with their email so that will stop me checking my email every 10 minutes - and I may get some work done today.
It should be up and running by 3.00pm today.
DD now has her transfer in her bank account - me nada!!!0 -
In the First email, it mentioned
The Icesave systems were not designed to pay all deposits at once. The electronic payment process will be phased to manage the demands on the systems and in the interests of security. Over the next three to four weeks, depositors will be sent a further email inviting them to initiate the payment process. These emails will be phased and sent in batches. Once you have received this invitation email, please log in and follow the instructions on the Icesave website as soon as possible after receiving your invitation email. If you do not receive this second email by 4 December, please contact Icesave’s Customer Services Helpline on 0845 605 8050.
So, seems quite natural that some people got 2nd emails and some not yet.
BTW, I didn't receive my 2nd email as of now.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
4th December????
I hope I don't have to wait that long“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Stay    dudes
Please all remember that the FSCS latest info says that emails will be batched over the remainder of the month. We're only Nov 13 - no need to panic YET !!
The few who have done their final ice-wave just make us feel like we're stuck in an icemaze, but I think our escape will come (is it just keep to left hand wall?)0
