Nilrem, you are one of the names I came across the most and you have been so cool so far. I now started to see that we started to aggravate each other.
Nicky sorry if I have aggravated youbut I can honestly say you have not aggravated me
.:o
You are right though I have lost some of my 'cool' but maybe my 'coolness' was a sham anyway.:D0 -
At least I have a home for my cash when I eventually receive it. I opened a Coventry BS 50 plus eSave (5) account paying 6.25% fixed for 12 months. This account was withdrawn the day after I opened it.:j0

Are you sure you can still add to it? AFAIAA once they close a fixed rate account you are not allowed to add more cash, well that is what I have found anyway, unless it is a special sort of account with a ceiling on how much you can save?
Surely if one was allowed to open a Fixed rate account and able to add funds after they withdrew the account people would just open lot's of these with a small amount then choose the best one later to add their funds to after rates had plummeted?0 -

I opened it with £100 and I have made several deposits since.

I might even be tempted to ,despite my feelings the other day "click" on the initiate claim icon like you and some others !0 -

Is their a ceiling on the max you can save with that account?
Sorry to be as thick as a thick thing that's even thicker but how does that work? I would have thought such an account with a decent Fixed rate and no Max allowed would be a dream account that no one could afford not to have, with all the fixed accounts I have ever had you were not allowed to add funds once they closed the issue.how can they afford to do that?

Have a go it won't hurt you know and you know you want too. But be prepared for disappointment!
Seriously though I don't think it hurts doing it once a day just in case your 2nd email is astray, IMHO it would only cause a slow down if 1000's logged on every few mins to check. don't forget most savers with icesave won't read this so in the main it will only be those of us here who will try anyway.0
