Yesterday, they seemed to send out a batch at around 11:45, so might be worth checking your email from around 12:00"How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620

How many times must you greedy idiots be told. You've NOT LOST any money (the government made sure of that) you've just NOT GAINED anything.
Oh woe is you, you have so much cash you're worried about living off the interest. Suck it up, be grateful you're getting the whole lot back and shut up. You really are low lifes complaining you've not made a profit out of an economy collapsing.
ungrateful, greedy *******s0 -
Nilrem, now that you have started this other thread, I am sure you will get your second e-mail today and you will leave us anxious savers behind, socialise online with those lucky ones who transferred their money to discuss what to do next etc...
Lol it's funny isn't it as I started the nilrems camp thread I was nervously checking my email in case it had arrived! If it does arrive I shall be in a right 'pickle' but TBH I am not confident of getting one soon.
One thing I can assure fellow 'sufferers' is that if I do get one I will own up and tell the truth and I do promise that I won't gloat about it and be all smug!0 -
....if you have lost that amount of interest then I expect you are v grateful that Darling saved those with over the £50k fscs compensation limit....0

What a nasty unpleasant post.
If you read the posts carefully I think that you will find that most people are very grateful to the government for ensuring that their savings are safe. In addition, most on here are not "complaining" about lack of interest since Icesave went down. The point that is being made is that the random nature of the repayment process could mean a large financial penalty for those who are paid out last compared to those paid first due to lack of interest and also changing availability of fixed rate deals.
You seem to suggest that people should feel guilty about having saved for their retirement - why?BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/080 -
Wife and I has still not received our 2nd emails despite receiving our 1st email on the 5th.0

Still waiting too - the FSCS seems to have gone very quiet so far today (perhaps it is their training morning?)...
But thanks to everyone here; the posts help keep anxious souls like me sane in the meantime. :rolleyes:Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes20 -

Completely agree with you Katykay. Resorting to offensive insults is shameful."A weak currency arises from a weak economy, which in turn is the result of a weak government" - Gordon Brown 1992 -0
