As per instructions, you MUST CALL fscs.

  • In that case - will everyone who has received their 2nd email get a bloody move on and initiate your accounts please! :D

Yes, that includes you nobblyned!!!! :p

OK, OK, you shamed into retrieving my own money. :p

Initiated last night, no confirmation e-mail received as yet.
  • My 3 x confirmation e-mails were in my spam - weird as I had stated FSCS were not spam... anyway, roll on next Wednesday!

The confirmation emails are sent from the "savings.icesave.co.uk" domain whereas the first and second email are sent from the "fscs.org.uk" domain, that is why the confirmation was probably spammed.

The big batch of second emails seemed to have been sent at around 11:41am yesterday as a lot of people reported around that time so perhaps again today (?).

Good luck to those who are waiting. And don't forget to vote in Sloughflint's poll when it hopefully arrives.
MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here :D

Please all remember that the FSCS latest info says that emails will be batched over the remainder of the month. We're only Nov 13 - no need to panic YET !!

I think that most of us are confident that we will get at our money 'eventually' but as soon as people start celebrating that they have had their emails and got their cash it was bound to make those who have not feel disadvantaged.

It makes one feel guilty complaining about loss of interest and people will 'jump' on you and say be grateful etc but up until Monday we were all being treated the same and now we are not, some of us are losing quite a lot of income as the days go by while the selected few(?) are doing very nicely thank you, it does not end there though as some of us depend on our interest to live on and as the days tick by the chances of reinvesting in a decent rate account are dwindling so we could be losing several thousnd pounds in lost interest over the next 12 months.

As I said if we were all in the same boat it would not make us so unhappy but ATM it seems that some of us are at a large disadvantage.

I shall now await all the messages from people who have got their cash telling me what a greedy so and so I am and how grateful I should be without being concerned at losing interest as the days go by.

It wouldn't be so bad but some of us have already been through a similar waiting period trying to get our money back from KE. It's certainly been a very stressful few weeks of late :undecided

For your sanity, you may wish to add this "2nd email received" thread to the "threads I know I shouldn't really be looking at" list, Nilrem
  • I have been reading all forums on icesave and checking new updates obsessively, half hourly over the past two weeks as I have been off sick. Some of them made me laugh out loud. It is like being in a nice community and it is like therapy for all of us anxious icasavers.
Nilrem, you are one of the names I came across the most and you have been so cool so far. I now started to see that we started to aggravate each other. I haven't received my second e-mail yet and I am as concerned about yours as mine now.
Come on, keep your chin up. Yours will be in your mailbox much before 4th December and mine too.
Congrats to all who already received their second e-mail.

Don't be so hasty with that past tense Chameleon. I all but emptied my KE account on Monday and it hasn't reached my linked account:mad:. They however sent my earlier test £1 transaction by chaps:rotfl:
    Do I laugh or cry?
