    just to clarify.....

YOU DO NOT NEED TO TRANSFER MONEY BY TOMORROW - THEY ONLY NEED TO SEND YOU AN APPLICATION FORM!!!

just rang and mines on its way

You can actually print one off from the website - this way you can fill it in and send it in tomorrow's post.

Can you make the inital payment by electronic transfer? If so, what is the largest amount you can send in order for it to transfer the same day through Faster Payments?

the terms you agree to in the application include this

    3. The minimum investment is £500, the maximum investment is £250,000.
    4. Your initial cheque should be drawn on your nominated bank account. Your nominated bank account and Poppy Bond account should be in the same name(s).

so i presume if you don't have any other accounts with them, then would need to be a cheque.

i'm still considering one of these, but realise needs to be quick to get the applcation registered with them..

Get online and apply TODAY,when your application arrives,if you change your mind,no harm done.
  • Upon completing the online application, did most of you print it off and send it? For those who already have their account details, did you already have an account with Coventry BS and thus bypassed the ID requirements?

Surely if I applied online on Sunday, by the time they deliver the application and I get it back to them signed, there won't be any time to make a deposit?

Staff have told customers with applications in the pipeline they'll have a period of grace after the issue is pulled to get deposits in. Has been reported as 7 or 10 days so you might want to check. (I already had accounts with them.)

Applied yesterday and got my pack today(including application form), it helped that I am a member of coventry B.S. and I like the fact the poppy appeal will benefit.

    I've been Money Tipped!
so can you or can't you add funds after today if your account is already open? Do you still get the same grace?

I have tried to call but was on hold for ages so hung up.

Bootman,I asked this question in an email to them yesterday.Got the reply back at teatime.

I opened the account yesterday and as a member already i transferred some across from the existing account.I then asked if i would be able to add to it later this week from my bank. The reply i got was that i would be able to do that up to the 18th November. So you should be fine for about a week.

It is surely in their interest to let people keep adding to their new account,up to a point. Not many people can lay their hands on their money instantly.

So if you apply today as a new customer you've got to receive the application through the post, return it with a cheque, include your ORIGINAL passport/driving license and a utility bill all before next Tuesday?

Are they serious? Original passport/driving license in the post!
