If they honestly had not dispatched it and in their conditions the terms of the contract state completion is upon dispatch then contract hasn't been formed and they don't have to supply to you at the original price.

Their sticking pointing is proving that the dispatch bit on the tracking is not correct, if they can prove this then they will most likely win in small claims.

However, saying that....poor customer service because what other trade have they possibly lost out on now because they didn't fulfill the order???

  • I ordered a car seat on 5 May 2012 online. They charged my card. However, they did not send the item. They then said it was not in stock. They said it would be available early July. Then when I asked an update a couple of days ago via email; they said that 'a gentleman phoned yesterday to cancel the order as he did not want to wait until July; refund was made'. Total surprise as I had never phoned them! Then I phoned them to clarify and they could not explain anything to me. Very rude employees 'Kim' and 'Jo'. Unprofessional. Do not touch them.
  • Avoid this company at all costs. I can only agree with previous reviews about their dreadful Customer Service, rude, unhelpful and not trained in the ethics of good and effective customer service. Emma and Kim are the dire representatives that I had the misfortune of dealing with. I had purchased a Plan Toys Dolls house at £109.95. The Online ad said 'Complete with Furniture'. It arrived with no furniture. When I asked for the missing items to be sent to me, they refused outright, apologised and said that they would be amending the wording on their website!! No goodwill offer. Nothing. They pointed me to an unfair clause in their Terms and Conditions saying: "the information including Product Descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order". Apparently I agreed to this when I purchased the item! So this is how you steer clear of the Sale of Goods Act is it?

Yes I could have returned the item but needed it for my 3 year old's birthday present.

I have reported PLO to Trading Standards, reviewed them on Trust Pilot and posted my experience on their Facebook Page. I suggest others do the same. They will not be receiving my custom ever again. I think it's shameful that online retailers like this are allowed to operate in this day and age. Boo and boo again.
