Oh i get you, very good :)

I still stand by the point though that because a company has provided bad service at some point through their life they can turn it around and provide good service. Unfortunately for the people who they gave bad service to it often means they won't trust them again

Very true. But the fact remains that the OP said that they had nearly been put off by this thread. So why would anyone who has been reading this still use them......I wouldn't just to be on the safe side.

Hello Mr. Deegan. I can assure you that it is not "spam". There are also other threads out there that one can choose to read. Not all of them slate PLO. Sure, there are some bad reviews and some good reviews.

To answer your question, I was at home ready to order the cot, and thought it was a good deal. Especially with the free mattress. But I then decided not to due to the "bad press". At work the next day, I did some more searching, and still couldn't find anyone to price match, and thought, "if I pay with my credit card, I should be covered if it all goes wrong".

I took the plunge, and hey presto, it's working. Although, as an update, the free mattress has still not arrived (it's due today). I'll let you know when its arrives.

If you wish to have proof of any of this to satisfy you that it is not "spam" please let me know and I'll be happy to provide what you want.

Thanks. My purchase was £134.99 so covered on that score. Plus, I did a bit more of a background check to feel fairly safe that PLO are a legitimate company!

Well it's a risk after reading some of the posts on this thread. Personally I wouldn't buy from them. However Mangle's gamble appeared to have worked, but then if they never got it right, then they wouldn't be in business.

By the way Mangle, just because they are a legit business doesn't mean that they are a good company to deal with. Legit companies go bust every day, and many of the biggest legit companies are terrible to deal with.

Yeah, I know that, but I'm a money saver, and although I wouldn't say I take unnecessary risks, the deal I got with this particular purchase was really good, and it was the deal* that drove me to take a chance. Like I said, there are other forums, and I looked at "mumsnet" and "babyandbump" where the feedback on Precious Little Ones was much better.

    * Cossatto Tove Hazelnut at £134.99 (Mothercare at £149.99)
    * Cossatto Springi 120 mattress @£15 (others places £64.99) - I could have had a free foam mattress included in the £134.99 price but chose to upgrade to the next one. (I think they sell the sprung mattress at £45 on PLO).

This baby equipment site appears to have very good prices, and as all feedback is important, I decided to share my good experience and would highly recommend them. I would definately use them again.

Now, although not related, but for bad experience, "The Hut" are not very good. I ordered a Wii Controlelr from them on 17 December, and by 10 January, still not here, so cancelled the order (after it had given me a 3 day despatch time at the time of order). So I am capable of giving "bad press" where necessary!!

And another thing, when I switched my energy supplier about 18 months ago, British Gas came out top in my savings charts, and I read the reviews about them, and they were terrible. However, I stuck with it, switched over to them, and have no problems at all, and I'm saving money.

So I think it's important to look at feedback (I always do), consider it, and perhaps use your gut feeling in making your final decisions!

It's not money saving if you don't get your goods.

I wouldn't rely on actual feedback sites because there is a huge amount of fake reviews on them.

I understand your point (I think), but I did get my goods and therefore it IS money saving!!

Are you suggesting that if one reads a negative feedback review on this forum, you should not deal with that company?

If you are suggesting that, then I would not have got my deal. And in any case, one or two people did leave good reviews on this forum.

I know that some reviews are fake (you accused me of leaving a fake review - so it is perhaps difficult to fathom out which are real and which are not), but you have to make a choice at some point. Some people (you I guess) would not have made the decision I made, and would have shopped elsewhere. You may have got the same items and paid a bit more, but had the "comfortable feeling" that you will not be ripped off.

I took a little chance, and was soon rewarded with the goods I wanted at the best price. So I feel good too.

I thought it was worthy of posting positive coments about this compamy due to my good experience. Who knows, perhaps the bad reviews are all fake!
