OOOOOOOOOhhhhh how I wish I had seen this thread in May. I ordered two car seats (one for my in laws) in May. Great service and delievery. We only got round to fitting them in August when my daughter got old enough to use the seats (9 months and above).
The instructions were poor and with 3 of us attempting to fit the seats they would not fit the cars (we tried then on 4 different makes of vehicles) so much for being universal seats.
I contact PLO and asked to return them under their 6 month guarantee and said I was willing to pay the £4 reboxing fee but NOT the £15 courier return fee as the seats were breach of the Sales of Goods Act and not fit for purpose.
I emailed and wrote a letter and explained that I had sort advice from Trading Standards and TS had advised that I should not pay the £15 return fee due to this breech.
I returned the seats on 24th August and am still awaiting a refund. So I emailed the contact at PLO who had has been dealing with my issues to say where's my refund an NO RESPONSE! Argggghhhhhh.0 -
Hi
I ordered a cotbed from PLO then found this forum. As this clearly worried me I called to find a constant engaged tone so I emailed PLO & they replied straight away reassuring me once my item was in stock I would receive delivery. Due to them moving the estimated delivery date several times I emailed them & requested a refund but from reading the forums did not hold much hope. I was pleasantly surprised when less than one week later the full refund was credited to my account.:T
Hope this puts anyones mind at rest that has ordered from PLO.

I am very disappointed with PLO - I ordered a cotbed and it arrived on time which was a relief after all the other problems I had with furniture and prams. However, when we went to set it up the cot ends were broken with big splits in the wood. It looks as if they have had a knock during transit.
I called them and they advd they can collect the same day and send it back to manufacturer to review - but were unable to give a timescale of when I would receive it back. They then called back to say they would not collect and the manufacturer has agreed to send 2 new ends for me - but again no expected delivery date.
Then to top it all off, I check my bank statement and they have taken the payment twice, so I call them again. This time they say their records only show one payment so I need to send proof that they ahve taken two payments. Ha - like I dont have enough going on being 36 weeks pregnant and trying to get everything in order.
They ahve not acknowledged my emails or attempted to resolve the situation so far so I would not recommend this company again. I have a few friends who are expecting and have advised them all to check out the website - what a mistake!!
Thats my rant over. Just hope they sort it out quickly.0 -
I think its better to just use Kiddiecare.com in future - i've used them loads and they are really good..they price match too!0

I ordered a pushchair from precious little ones over 5 weeks ago. It was supposed to come with a free comfort pack that 5 weeks later I have not recieved! I have now made 4 phone calls and sent 3 emails chasing this and all I have been offered is a pink comfort pack to go with my little BOYS lime pushchair, do not buy from these people they clearly can not deliver the service they state they do on there web site!!!!!!0

On the 6th October 2009 I ordered a baby seat via the internet site of 'Precious Little One'. It was shown as being in stock, and if ordered before 5pm, would be delivered next day.
I paid £135 by Pay Pal well before 5pm, and waited in the next day for the delivery of the seat.
Sometime before noon I received an e-mail telling me that there was a mistake and the car seat was not in stock, I was offered a different colour or a refund as it could take weeks to get the colour I wanted from the supplier.
I opted for a refund, and I am still waiting.
I feel that this company was aware the seat I wanted was not in stock, but took my order and money anyway.
If this is done to customers on a regular basis, then the company hangs on to the money for as long as they can, it is a good earner for them.
I certainly would not deal with them again.0 -
I am dubious about posting a comment on this forum and hope I am not ridiculed by yorkrabbit as was missyxxxx, as it is also my first posting. I feel I must comment because I was very nearly put off ordering from Precious Little Ones by the comments on this forum.
My daughter is having twins very soon and needed to purchase a new pushchair/car seat transporter, we went to our local baby shop (small town, just one retailer) there were no twin prams/pushchairs in stock so would have to order via the catalogue. I looked on the internet and found that the Bebecar Vector Duo which she had decided on could be purchased at a saving of over £200 from PLO, the assistant at the local shop assured me that 10% would be the best discount they could offer, which was a difference of over £100. Then I came across the comments on this site!! Would the saving be worth the distress of non delivery, etc? I eventually decided to go ahead with the order late on Thursday, 17th September, I was going away the next day on holiday so asked for delivery to be made to my daughters address. The pushchair/car seats, rain covers for pram and car seats and footmuffs (bought all the extras with our saving) all arrived on Thursday morning, 24th September. There was one part of the order outstanding, we had ordered aprons for the car seats, my daughter rang PLO and was advised that they weren't in stock but would be dispatched when new stocks arrived in approximately two weeks. There was no delivery note on the parcels, my daughter advised the lady she spoke to at PLO and was told there should have been one and I received one by post later. The aprons hadn't arrived by 20th October and I telephoned PLO, I was advised they had been dispatched the previous day and they did arrive on 21st October. I would certainly use Precious Little Ones again, and probably will many times, as we will need an extra one of everything.

Almost didn't place an order on Thursday after reading this forum, but couldn't match the price anywhere else for an end-of-line car-seat so phoned them up. They confirmed the seat we wanted was in stock, so ordered online (to get it delivered to work address) and it turned up the following morning.0
