lady on phone said that British Gas has decided to extend the deadline due to high demand. i phoned earlier today and am getting discount. I asked about my mum but needed account number so can ring on monday. So if you have missed deadline try monday

I've been trying to get through on that number for the last 3 days and they keep you on hold for ages or ask for your phone number and account details so they can ring you back and don't :mad: Well done to all of you who got through.

Try the customer services no. on the back of one of your gas statements. That's what my dad and I did yesterday and got it all put through there and then..... many thanks everyone & have a great New year

Do N - Power do anything like this?
Also has anyone had to prove what benefits you receive?

While I was staying with in-laws there was a little bit in their paper to say that deadline was being extended because not all the money they'd set aside for it had been claimed. So DEFINITELY worth claiming.

Thanks , my elderly mother is on BG for dual fuel.
I never did get round to switching her!
This will make up for some of BG stonking price rises.

:snow_grin Does any one on the Board know for how long it has been extended to as I do qualify. I tried the the telephone No and it is asking me if I want to take up an offer which freezes prices! :snow_grin

I just spoke to British Gas on 0845 602 2008 (press 1 to register) and got straight through. They confirmed it has definitely been extended for this week. Which is great news for those who have missed out so far.

Hi all
First time registered but thought I needed to thankyou for this information. i have just phoned and got the rebate of the full £60 as I have Gas & Electricity with them, I have also told my dad too. I cant believe that they dont advertise the fact enough and I would never have known if I wasnt registered to Martins website.
