  • Evening all
Pink, fingers crossed for your son, BB, happy birthday, Catzine, I remember the Bazaar programme.
I have a Dr's appointment next Tuesday, good job I'm not seriously ill, isn't it, I just want to log my concernes about my job. I know the bursar has the recomendations, I think if nothing is done by next week, I'll phone the Occ Health & ask if there is any way they can insist their recomendations are acted upon.
    Have a good evening.
    Hugs Hester

I'm having a really bad day, I've been in bed for most of it because my joints are so bad. I'm ashamed to admit it but I just swore at the woman on the phone when I was trying to pay my credit card bill. DH was shocked but I can't take anymore messing about. She transferred me to 3 people when all I wanted to do was make an automated payment.
DH is driving me mad, he never deals with finances and so he can't make the phone call, but the card is in his name so.......
He is now trying to make oven chips and can't even set the oven properly, we've had it 10 years. It's hard to believe that he used to cook for himself and his DS. I just know he's about to ask me how to cook burgers. I don't even eat the blooming things.
Wolf, I was going to suggest using the processer for chopping, it's what I do.
Dog now going frantic because of fireworks and he's had his Valium.
Pink so sorry about your news.
Love to all. (Sorry for the rant I think I'm at the end of my tether!!)

Thriftlady - any chance of that lentil recipe please - I have green lentils in my cupboard and it sounds easy to do:)

    Recipe here Taplady ;)
  • Lame wolf - your poor paws!

:o I feel a bit awkward, because if I say 'this is not possible' to my darling uncle then he will find dozens of different ideas, and all of them unusable and he won't believe that they are unusable. I have a wedger from Lakeland which is very good, but it does need some pressure on. I also have seen a 'nicer dicer' which I was given but threw out as an insult to anyone who had to wash up (and it looked like it had been pre-owned by something from a swamp - my darling uncle can be a bit hit and miss).

It sounds as if you are in a position to know what to do for the best, but I do hope you feel better soon, especially with all this weather.

Dear heart has just rung to say that he doesn't want any tea. This is perhaps just as well as I hadn't started tea.

MrsMW - I do hope your doggie manages to survive the night. I also hope that the fireworks are only tonight and not dragging on through the weekend. It is so unfair on pets.

Actually firework night is not unfair to all pets. Evil cat watches the fireworks through a window. Honest, she enjoys watching them and when there is a thunderstorm she goes to the top of the house to watch the lightning.

Well, I've done as much towards dins as I can. I think I may have to go with MrsMW's thought of using the processor in future, although it chops the slices a bit thinner than ideal. :o

BTW, MrsMW, I hope you have a better day tomorrow, and that the woofer doesn't get too stressed out.

Signing off now, Mr LW will be in soon.:o

    Good evening everyone :hello:

    :bdaycake: Happy birthday to bethebee

(((hugs))) to Pink and Penny Pincher

My mum called me earlier and she has got a cancerous lump, which is being whipped out on 1st December. This will be followed by radiotherapy in the New Year. She's most worried about not being able to lift the turkey at Christmas, so DH and I will be going to assist operations. Beans on toast for Christmas lunch anyone? :D I'll have to get all those Christmas mags out that I've been saving for such an occasion.......... (cooking Christmas lunch)

Supper tonight has been a yellow sticker minestrone soup that has been languishing in the freezer for a while. It's all part of my store cupboard challenge to myself. At last, I have a little space in the freezer which I intend to fill this weekend with chilli con carne.

(((hugs)))) to all those that need one.
