morning all!

day off today but am busy all day:rolleyes: , cleaning for Mum this morning then straight off to a training afternoon to do with planning activities which is being held at our Art Studio(we are very lucky to have this facility which was partly funded by the Lottery:T ) then tonight its Slimming World weigh in but have booked a days holiday tomorrow - got the boiler men coming as ours is making all sorts of weird ghostly type noises:eek: and also need to do some revision for Frudays exam and practise my presentations for Friday(might have to do 2:eek: )
Spent yesterday afternoon having a declutter and making some apple crumbles with the last of the freebie apples.

Thriftlady - any chance of that lentil recipe please - I have green lentils in my cupboard and it sounds easy to do:)

Thank you Sunnyday. Evil cat gets a variety of different flavours, but she doesn't actually eat that much. It's just making sure that food is down. If it isn't down then war breaks out. She may not be hungry, it's the principle of the matter!

Someone asked about paste. I have found cheap paste invaluable for getting tablets into cats. They really do seem to adore it, so a large teaspoon of the awful stuff with the tablet hidden in it usually does the trick. I have not previously used it with powder or this gel stuff (cranberry flavoured aloe vera, even my warped and fevered imagination couldn't come up with that one) but so far no battles have ensued.

Well freezing today again here in Essex need to put the WM on dinner is YS pork steaks,YS frying steaks and 2 gammon rounds, mash broccoli,carrots and gravy afters will be ice cream
DD has her GCSE English paper 1 today so fingers crossed for her I have realised that Ds has left his lunch here:mad: not sure what to do as its quite a drive to the school but he has no money

Morning all well I dont post often but do read....

Our church is having a display tomight but It is calssed as Very loud so those of us with younger children and babies are have got to gether and are having a small display of just things like fountains etc etc.. and guess where we are holding it.......yep here so while MRS OJ is at work all day muggins here has got to get everything ready

Why not ring the school & see what they can suggest? You never know, they may sub him until tomorrow.

Morning all. Normal working day for me, what ever that is, its what I call my reality check day as I have to go and inspect all the repossessions we are selling, seeing ten repos in one go reminds me of why I come onto MSE. Lunch is sheperds pie left over from last nights tea, no doubt I'll get some funny comments from the younger ones in the office, who have just had a shop bought lunch, eaten while reading some glossy, throw away magazine.

Its a bit miserable here today, but you never know it might brighten up later, ever the optimist me :rolleyes:
Off out in a bit to Redditch to do some shopping, Mum needs some more books from The Works as she has run out. Also need to get some cards as we have a lot of birthdays coming up.

Had the last pasta bake for dinner yesterday, so I need to cook some more up to restock the freezer. Need some porridge oats as well so I can do some hob-nobs.

my school used to sub you a lunch till the next day, i'm sure if you call they'll be reasonable.... it'd save you the drive at least....

i'm at the dreaded work today, and have mountains of housework to do, as i did hardly anything last night.....

need to get my bedding changed, and the hoovering done (at least) as well as getting some washing dry, and sorted.... would be nice to get the ironing away too, and maybe wash out the bin, that i forgot to empty this morning (not that it's overflowing, but it was bin day...)

also looking forward to dinner as i have left over mash to use up, i need to make a proper list of what i need to do, and then priortise to get at least some of it done as i am living in a hell hole at the moment.

i think if i can just get the kitchen sorted with the hoovering than i'll be able to live with it.... how do people find the time????

i might have to do the half hour fling thing tonight to see if that helps matters.... (or at least work through the adverts)...
