Good Afternoon Everyone
Bonfire Night:DI lurve it and I'm taking the kids out to the Church Bonfire and Firework Display. Its costing us £14 for the tickets but the funds go to the kids school so cant complain.I've just used MrsM's Bonfire Toffee Recipe which I'm told by hubby is delish. So the kids can munch on that whilst watching the fireworks.
SC is full of Chilli.I'm hoping to have enough spare to cram some in the freezer. But the freezer is so crammed these days I think I might have to make it into a chilli pie with a mashed potato and cheese topping.Strawberry Jelly and Strawberry Ice Cream for pud.I got some strawberries at the market they were dead cheap but are way too small for serving on their own so I'll make strawberry icecream out of them instead.
DD:D It never rains but it pours doesnt it?Hopefully the op will be the beginning of a better time for your son
PP dont think you'll be reading this but just in case hope everything goes well today
Bethebee Many Happy Returns of the Day:beer:
Pink-winged its so sad about your son and yes it is amazing its all come about through a throat infection but I hope it all clears itself up without the need for a biopsy

I have a whole, cleaned salmon (in 2 sides, not yet steaks) which I found y/s for £5.10 yesterday. I am planning to freeze it in useable lumps (:o) Can I have a few ideas please? There are 2 of us (and bizarrely we had salmon risotto at the weekend so that's a no!) and we will eat most things......
Thanks in advance
Floss x
i love it seared ina pan with honey and soy sauce and than baked in the oven til it's done with rice that is filled with loads of veges, like brochilli..... mmmmmmm...
must make a meal plan for the rest of the week with that on it....
i need to figure out how to fit everything in this week with cleaning at the top of the list, and everyone on here is inspiring me to do a ST challenge, which at least would save me the bother of going to the supermarket.
MS diva, it does look as if everyonw has abandoned ship, since the political upheaval re: content, and it looks as if all of those who wanted were voicing opinions for either OS or gossip type feels have scarpered.... not that what i babble about is either, but alot of the faces seem to have disapeared...

Pink I remember the trauma with your ds's illness last year. Rotten news for you all. I hope it resolves itself. Being a mother is horrible sometimes isn't it?
I've made 4 dozen muffins for the lunchboxes. I'll store them in the freezer. I've got a batch of 4 loaves proving so I'll be well stocked with bread for a bit.
Will post later on the Storecupboard Challenge thread;)0 -

(((hugs))) :grouphug:to Pink and ds. As has been said he is being monitored now and that will help to reassure you that they are doing everything they can. Such a worry for you all though.
Well my arm is being pumped up every 1/2 hour with this 24 hr bp monitor, not sure how I will get any sleep tonighthopefully I will be used to it by then. In the meantime, to keep me busy and occupied, I am making a list for the storecupboard challenge and that is so shaming:o. All those tins and packets tucked away and forgotten about! I haven't got anywhere near the freezers yet!:rotfl:
Just had a couple of ancient ryvitas with my lentil soup for lunch and still have the fishpie to prep for tonight, with runner beans (of course - got to make a dent in them asap).
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to Beth!
:TWell done to Kaat Lady on your lovely win!
Right back to the larder before the darn bp machine goes off again!

Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday Betheebee.:bdaycake:
Good luck with the anaesthetist PenPin.
Pink sorry to hear that your DS is so poorly.
(((Hugs))) to everyone else who is poorly at the mo.
I have a dilemma; I have tried to do a meal plan this week, and today is supposed to be veggie stew; but my paws are too painful to cut the veggies. So… do I swap it with tomorrow’s nut loaf with sweet’n’sour sauce and hope the paws are better tomorrow, or do I wait for Mr LW to come in and cut the veggies for me (which he has volunteered to do)? It won’t make us horribly late eating, as I do it in the microwave, but I do so hate having to ask for help with something I ought to be able to manage.
Edited to say that last time we had veggie stew, he cut the veggies before he went to work, but there wasn't enough time this morning, as we were running little late.
I do wonder about this meal plan business – I’m finding it rather stressful, because I feel like a total failure if it doesn’t go – well, to plan.
Also have a pile of ironing sat here smirking at me – that’s going to be fun….NOT, as our iron is really heavy.
On a good note, the transfer of my cash ISA to another bank has been finalised (thankyou Martin for the heads-up on that). If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
