If you want to try something a bit exotic - try this.

We used to have it in India and Pakistan hot with evaporated milk during winter. My kids would look forward to that time of year, for that reason, and even now they are teens they still ask me to make it. Funny now when I smell cardamon it take me back there.

That looks nice. Do you think it would work with soy milk instead? As I think my son (he's 2) would like it, as carrots are his favourite veg, but he can't have dairy.

Yesterday we boiled up the above to make 3 gallons of carrot wine. As you only use the boiling water I have the carrots to make use of. I got them from Lidl yesterday and they were only 29p per kg, but I don't like to waste anything. I have absolutely no freezer room so that is not an option. Any ideas for what I can do with them?
  • Make some stock, ook up a ouple of onions and some lentils in it, add thecarrots and have a quick carrot and lentil soup. :)

Well I have never had to deal with such a great amount but have a look at Mrs Beetons carrot jam. Otherwise soup, chutney and cake spring to mind. Mash in with potatos.or process with tin of tomatos
    for spagetti bolognaise.

And of course dont forget the birds.

Goodluck OP and please let us know how much you managed to use
