I have e-mailed the Ministry of Justice about this company and asked them to look into what has been said in this forum and asked where we legally stand in regards to them obtaining our details prior to cold-calling.
Will get back to you on this, folks.0 -
I've had a call just 50mins ago with regards to missold PPI. I was told that I was due £2450 and they had the details of my first mortage provider..........
I asked the guy(Nasma) to provider verification of who he was by giving me his regulation number and asked for him to call me back in an a 1/2 hour.
When he called back I told him that the registration number did not match the MOJ's records, so he asked me how I checked that information to which I told him that my wife works for MOJ(not really). He then went on to give me another number which was totally different from the first number but still wanted my credit card details. I declined to do this and instead asked to speak with a supervisor, in the background I could hear someone say ' Get fxxking rid of him, he want's to much information' to which the phone went dead??
This is very concerning and any response would be appreciated..0 -

I would contact the MoJ about this - their e-mail address is general.enquiries@justice.gsi.gov.uk. I would also send them a "Do Not ignore this letter" warning to them. Their address is
1st Line Services UK Ltd
1st Floor,
Unit 9 Cambrian Industrial Estate
Coed Cae Lane
Pontyclun
CF72 9EW
E-mail address is support@1stlineservices.com and their site is http://www.1stlineservices.com.
I would keep pestering them until they give you that so-called "admin charge" back. From the post above your one, somebody heard a manager swear in the background to get rid of them. That is plain obnoxious.
If you do get a cheque, make sure it is genuine - if need be, go to your bank and get them to check it. They can tell the difference between a real cheque and a counterfeit.
I have reported this lot to the MoJ and have chased them about my query. It's with the Claims Regulation Team.

I also had a call from first line services on my mobile. According to them I have £2000 waiting for me from a previous mortgage company. Also wanted £99 fee, which a) Idont have b) I'd have better use for that amount these days.
Local CAB office agrees that I should try direct to the mortgage company concerned and see what happens. If the money is genuinely there and yours to reclaim, it should be easy and cost free.0 -
how the hell did they get my debit card number? The wife verified the card number on the phone (i was at work) she said "i do not deal with financial matters, my husband does", will they take money from the card? apparently they knew the last 3 numbers on the back of the card aswell.0

That is worrying how the hell do they know these numbers. I wish somebody could explain especially the three numbers on the back.
to anybody that this has happened to I wouldd pretend to lose your card and ring up your provider for a new one.:mad:0 -
I cancelled the cards to be safe0

My wife has also just been called by these people. She was talked into agreeing to giving them £99. She then called me to check.
How did they have so much of her details, including card numbers?
What should she do now to stop the payment? Or can these people get our money back?0 -
All you can do is cancel the cards0
