  • Let her close the thread if she wants to. We can just catch up on the news in a few months time when he's killed her. because she didn't listen to what people are telling her. what do we all know anyway!!
  • I am so sorry, I did mean NOT to annoy me. I just forgot the word, sorry for that - i was writing it fast. I will change it in my original post

I dont really understand why you are wording your post like this, I have said that I am gratful for the advice etc but i have chosen to try and give it another go.

I think it shows the keenness to help you, and the frustration - from someone who knows just how bad it can get.

    Here's hoping you are right.

  • Do you know that 4 women in the UK die from domestic violence a week. Yeah your reading the advice but your not taking it just giving us lip service. Its your choice at the end of the day but more fool you and you deserve what you get now.

  • Stacie - you have to decide what you want and it is your life. No matter what happens, keep posting on here because there are a lot of lovely people. You will always be able to get some support and advice on here.

The reason why so many people are upset at you going back is that they have heard exactly the same things - go to counselling, promise it won't happen again, you shouldn't have wound me up... And after many years, and the same repeated promises and many violent incidents, they managed to get away. You have suffered in the past from (given your own description of events) domestic violence. On average a person who suffers from domestic violence leaves six times before making a final break.

You may be one of the lucky ones where it does work out. I hope for your sake that you are happy. Please be careful, remember how it felt when you broke up, that sense of release? If you need any support or help, come back here. Or come back here in a few years time to say 'I told you so'.

Also, I was about 20 years older than you when I conceived my first child - he is happy, healthy and much loved. There is no rush to try for children, and definitely not for a while until you are sure that everything is okay.

I can understand how you feel, but I don't think the door should ever be shut, and I don't think anyone deserves abuse.

  • I reckon she is just bored at work and hence starts all these threads. If you read back on some of them (I'm bored at work and have) allegedly she works with her entire family and her partner so I don't believe that they didn't know anything about the alleged abuse that started this particular thread.

So you think all my family knew about it? You think that they dont care? You think that they are not mad at me for wanting to give OH another chance. You think I made it all up?! Well you know what, you can think what the hell you like. Really now, Post Closed.
