Welcome to MSE. It would be better if you started your own thread, otherwise you might get forgotten about. Was the parking company called Civil Enforcement Ltd, or was it another company. In the mean time tell your mother not to worry. As reassurance please read the "stickies" at the top of this sub-forum that tells you all you need to know about private parking companies.

Welcome. You both need to read the top threads, as Oopsadaisy said.

They are at the top here, read the ones by Crabman:

You will see the letters to expect and ignore, and a Watchdog clip showing you exactly what to do with the fake PCNs that these parking leeches have tried to hoodwink you with.

Did I say these fake PCNs are a Scam? Like a phishing email? DO NOT PAY, DO NOT CONTACT THEM, DO NOT 'APPEAL' (hahahaha, as if!!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This morning my daughter received a Parking fine from Civil Enforcement agency for £150 or £75 if paid within 14 days. It has all the details of her car on it but they have the colour wrong. She has asked me to call them and pay the fine by debit card because if its not paid they will send her details to a Debt recovery agency and this will incur additional costs. What should we do.

It's not a the "Civil Enforcement Agency" it's a powerless private company that cannot "fine" anyone. You daughter does not owe them a penny. All that talk of debt recovery agency are just hollow threats. Do not contact them and ignore all correspondence from them.

For further reassurance please read the stickies at the top of this sub-forum.

The colour is irrelevant. Please read my reply to your initial post and you will see that no money is owed. You are taking these clowns too seriously.
