Massively confused, if they actually read the stickies at the top of the forum they wouldent be confused, they wouldent need to post anything and my reply button should be set at

if private ignore if from council or police then scan image and post up.

As previous post what makes me laugh and entertain me is different from yours. What it achieves we will never be able to quantify but it makes me :)

I think you will find that the same questions are asked time and time again. Hence my suggestion and recommendation to keep things simple in order that posters are able to conduct quick searches and get to the answer quickly.

Yes, I'm afraid I have better things to do than send empty envelopes through the post and, frankly, it doesn't humour me in the slightest. If that makes you laugh, then great. But please don't confuse people.

without wishing to sound rude, I notice from your signature that you think you got a settlement after threatening a solicitor with contempt of court. You do seem to go for the path of maximum resistance, don't you?

You assume that all people understand the process.

I cannot see that the price of a stamp is going to hurt these companies!

Keep the advice simple - just ignore the PCN's.

1 stamp no but lets say they get 50 letters a day.

25 of which dont have a stamp.

1st class stamp 40p x 25 = £10.00 260 working days give or take £2600 they will have to pay plus handling charge.

All for the thought of a envelope.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

Yeah I did ask the judge to hold the solicitor in contempt of court as he had been lying in their defence. The judge ruled that my case is on hold due to it being a bank account when infact it was a credit card thus excempt from being put on hold.

The solicitor said in defence that it was a bank account thus, I sent a letter to the court and to the solicitors involved informing them they I have asked the judge to hold them in contempt.

I got a cheque for the full balance plus another cheque for £500 stating the matter was settled in full and closed, about 2 weeks after writing this letter.

Path of most resistence not really just dont let these people get the better of me when the law is on my side.

If you dont suceed with the path of least resistence then what other path do you take. They will always get harder and harder to resolve an issue.

Thats what they want you to do GIVE UP, I have been trying to correct my credit file from Lloyds now for nearly a year, it has got to te stage that the FSA has the case, should this fail then off to court I go. Unfortunately least resistence path was chosen 1st now onto the most.

I mentioned it although, to be honest, I'm not really that interested.

However, I suspect the judge and solicitor both had a good chuckle afterwards. That tended to be what happened when I was a trainee solicitor doing court hearings against people who tried to drag in non-issues into a case.

    Dont mention it then.

Non issues to the case, so lying in their defence, is a non issue nothing to do with the case I assume?

Oh silly me for thinking that lying in a defence is correct and really nothing to do with my case.

Anyway this has been fun and wasted some time at work. Bye

It isn't necessarily "lying" but ho hum. I didn't say it was correct, but neither is it "contempt of court". I would have laughed at you if you had accused me of that.

    Bye.

Please let's get back to the main issue.

By way of an update, I received my "NOTICE BEFORE LEGAL ACTION" letter today. That's 3 weeks after the initial PCN issue date and 1 week before the £150 final due date.

    Still going to ignore!! :D

I have to admit that ignoring does make me slightly nervous, but due to the shared experiences of forum members I'm going to see it through and trust that all will be OK.

As a law abiding citizen it can feel a little unnerving to completely ignore seemingly official demands to pay "fines". Of course this is by design - the PPCs want people to assume they are legitimate so that these "fines" get paid.

There is a lot of support online through here and the Pepipoo forums that hopefully give you some peace of mind. :)
