Such a shame to miss it. To add to the back probs I had one hell of a cold so would have been all coughs and sneezes.
Sounds like you had fun. I have a mate (who reads MSE but doesn't post) who filled my bag with S&P, sauce sachets etc when we had a pub lunch in Colchester (the Playhouse? it was an old theatre anyway). Most embaressing when I realised.
So what's planned for the next meet? Blackheath? Sounds good. Bit further for us than JackieO but not too much. Not sure of parking there but that's never stopped us.Grendel ( Mr AF) would definitely be up for the bread making and maybe fudge/tablet making too.

I used to run a Diner's club some years ago.
We'd meet up once a month at different restaurants and I'd pre arrange a fixed price menu.
One of the guys (took the joke well) when he left his jacket on the chair to go to the loo, we'd fill his pockets up with sugar or any other sachets available.
EVERY pocket :rotfl:
EVERY month :rotfl:
We thought it such a joke, especially when one time as we left the restaurant a waiter helped him on with the coat and loads fell out!
He started wearing coats with bigger pockets ....................... as I remember
Not so funny now, but at the time ................

Alison Funnell, sorry to hear about all your health troubles! I really hope that by the time we arrange to meet again you feel well. x
No specific plans yet, has anyone got any ideas? Bring your knitting/sewing/portable craft project and have a crafting session? Whatever takes your fancy, ladies (and the odd gent hehe)! Just an idea but please feel free to make more suggestions (also to meet in other places - the Blackheath one is not the only place available!).Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
