LL - it was YOUR hubby that put the salt and pepper in your bag after you said not to leave it in the lunch room as someone else might nick it! And you've ended up nicking it yourself!!!! Hahahaha :rotfl::rotfl:

The old 'pass the blame game' hey???
Between the two of you I am an innocent, who put it in and who took it out is neither here nor there.............it is here and now!
Now it is in my cupboard here at home.

Some people can't be taken anywhere :rotfl:
They shall however one way or the other be returned/refunded, next time I'm taking a smaller zip up bag.
Icey77.........guess what I made perfectly yesterday????
    Bread :T
The milk powder trick worked a treat. I shall now use the breadmaker more often. Thank you.
Now I need some of those lovely zippy up bags you had your's in. Where do I buy (or nick ;)) them from.

Blast, and blast, just found out no-one is coming to Bulgaria with me this year :(
I really don't want 2 mths on my own out there......................
Fallen in the dumps now

edit: anyone fancy a meet up at mine in sunny Bulgaria :):)

Sooo pleased the milk powder worked :D
Next time we have a meetup we can decide between us which types of bread we'll each make ;) I'm thinking of trying a lovely sounding courgette bread when they're in season (does anyone know when they're in season?)

As for the Ziploc bags ... I nicked (ahem - borrowed) them from my Mum

Lillie I do live in London but the South is still very hard to get to.British Rail trains are very expensive and buses are a complete joke as I have found out from my 10 years plus of living in London preceded by the equivalent of 7 or so non consectutive years of travelling to London. (I had an LTR with a South London dweller)

PS catz hope you and your family get well soon. My flatmate had that last year and it was pretty awful for him.

Courgettes in season from August if you grow them in the UK, but if you don't mind them shipped from the continent you can get them from June. The ones that are sold now they probably come from Peru or greenhouses in Southern Spain and do not taste much.

Easy to grow, mind you, if you have a south facing garden protected from the wind - I had loads last year in my front garden, and the plant and its flowers are so beautiful that it can be easily taken for a decorative plant!

Here is a link to the cake we had on Saturday.
I used yoghurt in place of the buttermilk both in the cake and on top.

I'm sure I found it somewhere on this forum.
Nice wherever it came from :)

Thanks to all of you for all your kind words about the meeting, it really makes me feel like it is worth putting some energy in keeping organising them.

Really, I am open to suggestions if people want to meet in other parts of London or on other days, just let me know and I shall come along!

LilacLillie, thanks for the recipe, DH LOVED his slice (confession: I had one of the two slices hehehe).

Love to all and catch up soon xxx
