Their website is very confusing. It says it is near waterloo but then shows you a map that shows it is nowhere near Waterloo???What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

do you want to say where you're coming from and I'll see if I can help you plot a route? I don't know if you're a Londoner, but if you're not it can be a bit hard to begin with, but there are some really good tools available these days! Not like when I was regularly getting lost! :rotfl:
ETA I see you've gone offline. TFL has a good journey planner. And the IWM has a link to it from their own transport page. Give it a whirl, I was a bit dubious about doing a meet, but I've been to two now, and lived to tell the tale! :rotfl: Sorry I can't make it this time.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Reverb, if your coming into waterloo east, you need to take the footbridge to waterloo station. exit out of that station, walk along waterloo road looking for a right turn into morley street, it changes to king edwards walk, at the bottom is lambeth road, you will be able to see the museum just to your left.
At least thats what I was going to do. Look at it on google maps.
Wear your safety pin and if we see you we'll say Hi0 -
Annie I wont be coming on the mainline as I do live in London. Have lived here over 10 years but dont now where the tourist areas are and havent been to that part of London ever. Thanks for the tips anyway. It was Google maps that showed it was miles from Waterloo. I wont be using Waterloo now anyway as there are issues on the Jubilee Line. Hope I get there.Dont own any safety pins as havent had kids lol...What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

To anyone who feels a bit lost and shy please don't be as everyone is great and you soon feel at home I only wish I could come but HMV (aka my dgs Ben) wants me to drive him to his beloved fishing lakes.Honestly Reverbe the people you will meet are really great, and you will soon be jawing away.Don't forget a stranger is just a friend you haven't said Hello to yet.Sounds corny but very true.So take the plunge and go and see some of the folk you have been chatting to for the past couple of years
Good luck everyone, I am so jealous that I can't make it as I would love to have been there.Have a great day and let us know how it all went tomorrow ,or even later on tonight

Went to the IWM this morning but didnt see anyone there who wasnt part of a family/group of older men. I was waiting outside from when I got there at 10.20 ish and then waited inside the foyer (as it started to rain about 11) until 11.30.What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

Reverbe, I dont believe it, well I do believe you but you know what I mean.
ioiwe and I were at the cannons at 10.45, joined by purpleclutterbuck then icey77 and we waited under the cannons till it started to rain, so moved to the covered bit by the entrance, then Caterina came and lilaclille, we waited outside till 11.25 but no sign of you so thought you had changed your mind:( so we went in.
Can't believe we missed each other, and I had my safety pin on the whole time with the smiley face at the end of it.
Next time, we'll swap photos then I'll grab you as soon as I see you:)0 -
