Well as the domain for the site you point to was only registered eight weeks ago, it's not exactly going to be the source of all knowledge on the subject is it?

New user, joined just to tell us about a "nice site"? - someone with a suspicious mind might think that you are more interested in getting affiliate link clicks on your website than in providing "reviews".

[I threatened to close all my accounts with Barclays and they just said they would come after me for the money as the money will still leave Barclays and go to to Pricesavers???? HELP!!!![/quote]

how can they take money from a closed account?.

do they just have your card details?

i ask because when i lost my card and got a new one i recieved a letter from a company that took regular payments using my card details saying that they couldnt take the money when i called the bank they said it was because i had a new card. maybe you could try that and see if the payments stop
  • There are loads of complaints about these Acai scams and the FTC and news media have issued warnings in the US (but the scammers are targetting the UK too)

  • The major benefits of the acai berry are thought to include its strong heart health benefits. The acai berry is known to be a rich source of compounds called anthocyanins. These anthocyanins are the same compounds thought to give red wine its health benefits, but acai berries may contain even higher concentrations of these healthy chemicals than wine, with none of the health risks associated with alcohol.

Avoid anything acai that you can't get out of boots or holland and barrett.

I can't beleive I have fallen for the con also!! I should of checked in on this forum before I even thought about buying into this pathetic weight loss scam
    .
I signed up for the $4-95 but when it came to the final page it charged me shipping and handling $24-95. Alarm bells did start to ring but I thought oh well im sure they will work! Now after receiving the AcaiBurn today i started to doubt that they will even do anything and thought i would check the forum out and now im in a panic reading other people's experiences of them still taking money from them.

There is no phone number on my order confirmation to call and im worried that i will have to cancel my card which is a visa debit card with Alliance & Leicester. I have other direct debits coming out of my account and dont want to mess those payments up. Please can someone offer advice

    Thanks

Have you read and followed the cancellation procedure in Section 6 of their Terms & Conditions, as published on their website?

The Live Help option (if it works) would seem cheaper than phoning, but note that the office hours are in MST - whatever that is.

Try this site - in the comments section there are some comments by other people who have been scammed and they give phone numbers and addresses to contact. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/acai-burn-c145707.html

If you need to phone then use Martin's international callchecker to find the lowest rate - do not use BT as it will cost a fortune.
