  • The company selling Acai Burn is Just Think Media -

Anyone who got scammed should file an online complaint (only takes a few minutes) at http://www.ic3.gov and at http://www.econsumer.gov/ to help get this company shut down. Also if legal action is taken against them and they are found guilty they will be ordered to pay compensation (this has already happened with another Acai company who settled out of court) - if you file a complaint at the above websites then your name will be on the list for compensation/refunds.

Cancel your card, they wont be able to charge you further! :j

Please get your facts right!! Cancelling your card will not stop these type of payments debiting. As the agreement was made before card cancellation the transaction will still be processed. The banks have to pass these transactions manually to your account.
  • I would immediately report your card stolen, to be sure these thieving fukkers dont get a penny, and do a charge back with your bank for any amount you have been debited with.

Why would you report your card as stolen? These people have entered into these agreements WITHOUT READING THE TERMS & CONDITIONS!!

And if anyone wants to complain that there wasn't any terms & conditions - well they should be asking themselves why they went ahead anyway????? People should learn to take responsibility for their actions!!
  • I was also convinced by the promise of fast free weight loss. Like you I only spotted the small print after I'd submitted my details. I now have to cancel my card which iv'only had for about a month, as I live in England and can't get hold of them by phone. I think it's disgusting how they can thrive and make money off of people's insecurities and especially how they claim this trial to be "free" and then charge around £50 each month. I hate to think how many other people have been convinced aswell. Don't people just make you angry??
Sarah louise. I too fell for this scam and if you want to know the British phone number its 08082389891. My bank says they can't help me but i was able to cancel my membership. I did close the account too to make sure.
  • Today I tried to withdraw funds from my account and was told I was overdrawn, so I called my bank and they told me I had had 2 payments of £72.11 taken from a company called Vitality Clean, when I looked into the name I realized it was the Acai Berry ‘free trial’ diet pills. I searched the internet and realized it was a scam, so I called a number recommended on one of the sites, I spoke to a nice lady and she explained that the terms and conditions was in the small print, looking back I there was no small print to read, as I wouldn’t of purchased them! Second problem I encountered with the pills is that they made me ill. I do suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but was advised by my GP that herbal/alternative medicines cannot do me any harm, however within 24 hours of taking the pills, I experienced diarrhea after every meal for 4 days, and had to take time off work, so I stopped taking the pills. I explained all this to the customer service representative at Viv3-Vitality clean, and I should hear back in 72 hours if I will get my money back. But right now I am being charged daily for being overdrawn from my bank, and my pride is well and truly dented. Its unbelievable what we go through just to lose a couple of pounds, and how disgusting it is that companies pray on our insecurities, these companies need to be shut down.

I ordered these tablets on 6th August from viv3 lab and I have also been charged another £75 today by Vitality Clean and have rang the company and cancelled my account. They said I will be contacted about my refund, like thats going to happen. The t&c I have found state this :-

"As stated in the terms and conditions of your purchase (accepted during the purchase process), if you do not cancel your account during the 15-days trial period, you will be charged for the already received product separately and thus the free trial converts into a regular monthly subscription.
If the account is still not cancelled after one month following the date you ordered your product, another 30-day supply of the product is sent to you, and the full price of the product will be charged to your credit card.
If neither of the cases explains your situation we kindly ask you to contact us and our Customer Service Team will be happy to assist you.
Please prepare the following information before calling or writing to us: name on your credit card, descriptor(s) on the charges, amounts, and date(s) of the charges, your billing and shipping address. "

I have cancelled my account within 30 days but was charged early so I am going to open a dispute with my bank. After speaking to the debit card support today I was told I had no chance of them getting the money as I hadn't cancelled within 15 days, but these t& c prove different.

I'm also going to file complaints with the links above. :)
  • Hi
I have lost £250 to this, I have emailed about ten times to the company and copied all the mails and contacted my bank, and canceled my card. I sent a detailed letter to Abbeys' Fraud department but I received a phonecall saying that it is not fraud as I agreed to the product. I agreed to the free trail no where did it make it clear about cancelling and they took the money from me before the 14 days were up. I can't belive Abbey won't help, Acaiburn and powerclense have taken £250 out in amounts of £40 and £50 and all I have had is 2 tiny bottles of dogy pills which I have sent back.

    I feel incredibly stupid.

Can I get any other help re getting the money bacK?

Just realised that I bought off a company called Viv3 Labs Ltd but was debited by Vitality Clean. Surely this can be refunded by my bank as the agreement I made when agreeing to t&c was with Viv3 Labs, they even say in their confirmation email that I will be charged by Viv3 Labs.

    Anyone know ?

Just wanted to say that I finally got most of my money back - I just kept nagging and threatening, and since I had cancelled within the 15 days I suppose they got scared!

    There's a lady who's set up a website about this scam, http://tlcinvestigations.co.uk/.
I have been told that Watchdog is doing a programme on them, and that Oprah is sueing theim for using her name in their ads.
