Acai is heavily promoted in spam and obvious scam messages that I would not look for anywhere to try it.
If may work, but the heavy promotion through dubious unsolicited mail has made me think the product itself is overrated.0 -
My sister-in-law has just been scammed by this.. apparently its even worse that you first think as in the small print it says that they pass your details onto other companies (which seems to include your credit card details) and THEY all start taking money each month... she managed to cancel the berries (she thinks) but 2 other companies have taken money now so far and the woman at MBNA basiclaly said that they add a company each month, just small amounts, a few pounds, so you might not notice it if you werent looking hard and the cancellation ref from the acai company doesnt apply to them so you have to cancel them individually.... such a rip-off..0

Do not be taken in I was and fully admit it!! I have now read most the terms and conditions of the different products advertised on the web and they are a variation on a theme. Only after you sign up do you come across the terms and conditions as the companies make the websites difficult to navigate and only afterwards and then too late do you realise you have signed up to one product or if you are really unlucky like me it was three products. Although I cancelled on the 6th July 2009 the same day as I placed the order obviously I had worked out it was a scam and unfortunately this was too late. However I have been emailing and phoning since the 6th July 2009, to stop any further charges on my credit card. Yesterday I contacted my Credit Card company who were very sympathetic it did help that I had kept all of company emails as well as my own. I emailed and phoned the company and informed them that I was forwarding this matter to the Fraud Section of my Credit Card company whom I had been with for many years and if necessary I would have my original card cancelled and a new card issued. This did make the company finally accept my cancellation and agree not to make any further charges on my credit card. Do I believe them not for a minute!! This has been one of the most stressful times because afterwards I realised I could have been liable for totally unreasonable charges and who can afford that, all for diet pills which are available at a much lesser charge at the local health store!! I fully admit stupid me and if anyone can learn from my mistakes I will be happy!!!

I thought i had been conned but i THINK i bought from a reputable source, but just incase i have cancelled my card,i did have a reorder letter with my free trial and it did promise no automatic agreement to send more so i hope i'm ok but i am keeping a close eye on my bank account.
Do they work? i have been on a diet where i have lost a stone and a half but had come to a standstill ,after taking these tablets i have lost 4 pounds in three days so i think they have kick started my diet but i don't expect the loss to continue at that pace .I am eating very sensibly and watching everything i eat and doing loads of treadmill walking.
So i think they do help a little but there is really no answer to losing weight other than to eat healthy, its the only way.0 -

Your 'diet' is the quantity and quality of the food you are consuming. The only thing that controls that is you!I am eating very sensibly and watching everything i eat and doing loads of treadmill walking.
So, you don't think this may have something to do with it? Give yourself some credit!there is really no answer to losing weight other than to eat healthy, its the only way.
Exactly.
Acai is a scam, full stop.0 -
I also fell for the scam after getting my acai berry free trial my account was charged a total of$266.01 for my free 14 day trail. I did not start the program right away waiting for doctors ok. Don't get scammed all calls to 866 number go to India and you know what happens to the language translation there. Couldn't understand operator and was given no reasonable explination for charges. Its a scam to get rich quick. Doesn't work like stated lower abdominal pains that are severe at times. Doctor advised against it due to possible intestine stress.:money:0

Hi
I too folishly fell for this in a moment of madness, an advert flashed up and for some reason I thought it ok, it said free trial just pay for postage, I did and then eventually received 2 smallbottles of pills, about £4.95 was supposed to come ou of my account. I went bankrupt in May so have a very basic account with Abbey and no overdraft, I got a huge shock when I went withdraw money only to find none there. Acai had taken £36.70, £1.2, £49.90, £1.25, £3.32, £1.25 and £50.54 out over period of 2 days. I emailed and emailed and they sent me address to send pills to in CHina, did this and have the post office receipt to prove, this was on the 3rd July. Meanwhil in a state I told the bank they said cancel your card and order a new one, this took 10 days, I can't access my online banking as have to wait for pin and have still recived no money, the fraud department have sad it is not fraud so I am appealing, as well as loosing over £100 I have also been charged £25 by bank for going overdrawn, due to bloody acai burn.
ust for people to be aware they seem to operate under different guises, "WEIGHTSECRETS", "MAXACAIBURNCOM" AND "CLARIFYHEALTHY"
I can't belive I was so stupid, I wish I could get my money back as it couldn't have happened at a worse time. I wont attempt to phone their numbers as can't afford calls.
Hope it helps warn others!0
