Howdy,
I've been reading about disconnecting the bell line as an alternative to buying BT's I-Plate. After removing the cover of my BT box, I find there are four wires from the outside - black, white, green and orange - but only the white and orange are ( or have ever been) connected. Can anyone help, please? Regards, iandav.0 -

Those of you still having problems with bellwires may want to have a look at http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/socket.htm.
The site gives alot of detail on how to disconnect the bellwire as well as alot of other useful information regarding broadband problems including speed and disconnections. Some of the info provided is quite technical but worth a read if you really want to get the best out of the service your paying for.0 -
