LW that is so annoying, Ive not had that happen before but had parcels left on my doorstep by delivery men in full view of the pavement when Ive been in, they cant even be bothered to knock. I hope your postman got a telling off.
Im not sure if the restuarant is a chain or not, its called Smith and Western, I am going to complain though.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Would they be the people? Can't see a "contact us" button though. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
suep, there are 3 bags. One for £5 with £15 pounds worth of stuff in, one for £10 with £35 and one for £15 with £50 worth in. Just contain a variety of stuff and I was given the choice of either bath stuff or shower stuff.
Have a look on the website - www.lush.co.uk
to see if you fancy one or more! They're available til 1st, so can easily get you whatever you want. The shop is only 5 mins away.
Needless to say, I got a £15 one *grin*.
I've got about 3 parcels to send to various people this week, so will be at Post Office too, so it's absolutely no trouble at all.
LW, annoying when that happens isn't it. I'm lucky that I had a fab postie who does everything he can to get a parcel to me safely.
How are you doing at the moment? I've been trying to get fresh air and a little exercise to keep the "black dog" at bay. Seems to help me.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Supposed to be going to the CAMRA AGM this evening, but I might just get Mr LW to go on his own (one of us needs to be there, just to keep in the know with what's happening). It's in a freezing function room, and invariably very boring, and try as I might I can't raise any enthusiasm. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi...I have had Fibromyalgia for about 5 years now. I also have underactive thyroid and about 2 years ago had my Gall Bladder removed due to it being diseased.
I am not working but am on long term incapacity benefits and am currently terrified that the government is gonna take it away before I can get the chance to make an improvement on my condition. I am constantly exhausted and sleep most days (although my specialists/doctors tell me off for this). When I am up & about I have pain...it can be anywhere. Mostly my back, shoulders & neck but most lately around my chest area. My pain management specialist is a joke...I am on 2 paracetamols 4 times a day and tramadol at night. If I take tramadol in the morning I will definately sleep so hard I would get nothing done! I do on occasion want to try & make an effort to get something done!
I am so frustrated, now they say I am depressed and want to treat me for that. I have already been on the amiltrypteline (or whatever it is called) but that makes me more tired. I mean, come on! Wouldn't you feel down if you were constantly asleep or in pain!!! I am not a depressive person but I do get anxious & worry over things.
Just recently I started displaying a facial rash so I was bunged off to hospitals & specialists to check for Lupus...I already think I have Raynards (coldness in hands & feet) and have had that since I was in my teens. My feet usually turn a lovely shade of purple/blue or very bright red (like a lobster). Now they are saying that Lupus is too rare and can I have Rosecea instead...like I am looking at it from a menu of diseases you would most likely have!
I have tried to go onto the disability benefit but have failed that twice so that was quite dishartening...it makes me think that when they stop this Incapacity I am not gonna be entitled to anything...my only hope is that I can find an employer that isn't gonna mind me working either 2 hours a day (at that) and will be understanding if I have to phone up to say I can't come in due to my problems...the face rash thing is very distressing for me. I tend to lock myself away when I get it...it is worse in the summer as it is brought on by the sun/uv rays.
Anyway, for those who are working with fibro, you are amazing! cause that is a difficult thing for me to even think about doing myself right now. :T
Those on disability benifits...how do you get it? I do not want to cheat the system as I disagree with things like that but is there a way of making them aware of the complexities of this condition so I can get help...what I am mostly after is a disabled parking badge for my dads car so that when I go out with my family I don't have to walk so far, cause half the time I feel knackered before I have even got to where I need to go. I am quite happy with the money I am on from the incapacity...I don't have many outgoings but as long it is enough to pay my bills I am ok. I am very grateful for what I recieve.
Anyways...I am off for a rest now as my tummy is killing me (period pain is even worse for fibro suferers - I find anyway)
All the best everyone,

Hi Crystal,
I know what you mean about being down about being tired or in pain but the best thing to do for that is to take small amounts of exercise a few times a day...so many a little stroll to the end of the road and back.
Blue badges can be applied for without DLA which can help with some parking situations but with others, like in town, doesnt always help because the spaces are always busy anyway. In that case your dad is best dropping you off while he parks the car.
As for supermarket.....if you pop into Customer Service and tell them there that you havent a badge as yet but need the space, they will be ok with it, and take no notice of anyone who gives you greif over it.
I dont know anything about filling in the forms for badges and benefits but Im sure someone will be here soon who does.
Hope you feel better soon after your rest.0 -
LittleTinker - what is your background? You seem to have popped up a bit but not actually told us anything about you... and, as I've seen your post on another thread saying our thread should be shut down, I'm wondering what your motives are for posting on here?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Hi guys and welcome CrystalGecko
I've been really struggling from this tonsilitis and the IBS symptoms that's been kicked off from the antibiotics...plus the dreaded period, all at the same time. I've been on the couch or asleep for nearly a week now, which is all well and good when you don't have a house to pack up!!
Sister and nephew came over on Saturday and packed up the kitchen, which has made a massive difference cos I hate packing up kitchens! They're so deceptive, cos you think it won't take long, but it took them 2 all day to do it! And it's only a small one! OH packed up a lot of the back room yesterday and took down the spare bed but I'm still a bit stressy cos I know there's only 4 days to go! Eeeek!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Awww, just keep concentrating on how you can stick it to your landlords when you move to a much better place and the excitement of unpacking in your new home.
