I certainly will vouch for Suep - although I know I won't need to as it is obvious to anyone who corresponds with her, what a lovely person she is :T.
Sorry not to have been about recently, I hope to be back soon and in the mean time - welcome to the newcomers :beer:Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Everyone with fibro knows that the worst thing is stress it amplifies our pain humour is one of the best medicines going i have downloaded a load of the very old comedy films e.g Will Hay, Old Mother Riley,Norman Wisdom and Arthur Askey etc, just watching these gives your body a chance to fight the pain and helps with depression.
Many of you i know will say that with stress, anger etc you don't feel like laughing in my case i found thats when i need it the most.
Much love to all.

Im really glad you've found something to lift your mood nephasu, thats a really good idea. I tend to read alot, if I can concentrate enough to get into a good book it makes me forget about everything else, coming on here helps too. I dont seem to do much to make me laugh though and have wondered sometimes if I've lost my sense of humour, certain programmes and films do make me laugh though, that and my 2 20month old g/c who are very funny.

Sorry me again, I've just remembered something, I wanted to thank raeh for telling us about the competion thread which I didnt even know existed, I have become addicted to it now and go on several times a day, last night I had my first win, £50.00 of a Thomas Cook holiday woohoo ! I'd rather have the £50.00 especially as if we do go on holiday it probably wont be with TC lol, but its nice to win something isnt it.
I hope Raeh comes back soon

OK, I'm starting to feel left out with all this winning going on! *grin*
raeh, your post was very succinctly put. Today is a new day, let's all get back to normal.
Unity, nice to see you back. Hope all is going OK for you. Thanks for the words about suep, although not necessary. I feel that if we trust each other here with our emotions, specially when we're not doing too well, then a Lush bag is nothing!!
Welcome nephasu and ditzy. I find audio books a great help to get to sleep by. They stop my mind whirling.
I think I may have to get another Lush bag for myself - the bathroom smells so lovely, that one under the bed might make the bedroom smell nice!
My moods are really mercurial at the moment. I had a real downer for a couple of hours last night, but am "OK" again today. I'll be grateful that the downer didn't last too long.
Gentle hugs

Hello all.
Welcome CrystalGecko, Nephasu and Ditzy.
Well, blokey has been, and I HAVE WARMTH!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!!!:j:j:j
£150 for a new motor on the central heating system, but better than freezing me extremities off.
Bad news is, we need a new hot water cylinder - the one we have has been in for absolutely yonks (before Mr LW bought this place in 1990) and it's basically on its last legs. That'll be another £600, but we're going to go ahead and get it done rather than wait for it to give out on us completely.
I didn't go to the AGM last night. Mr LW went, and said it wasn't terribly interesting, but he's noted down who's on the committee this year. Oh, and they're taking up my offer to continue co-ordinating the National Beer Scoring Scheme database for our area. Well, it's an excuse to have a beer.....
Hope everyones having a reasonably pain-free day today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hiya LW. Definately worth doing now, rathe than waiting til you have water pouring through your ceilings! A new one is likely to be more efficient and have better lagging too.
Good on you for keeping an outside interest going. I think it can help.
Hope your mind has a peaceful day and the rest of you follows!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi everybody!
Feel crap as usual but my mood is ok so that helps get through it. I'm at the docs tonight with my pain diary so hopefully she will get a better picture and adjust my meds accordingly.
CWTA- Would you get me one please. I think I heard somebody say it ends on the 1st? I would like a £15 one. I could send you the money via Western Union as I don't have a cheque book. PM me if it's possible. I don't want to overload you!0 -
Before anybody say's anything. Yes, yes, I know Western Union isn't very money saver friendly but when you have no other means.....
You have to pay for postal orders too and at least the recipient gets the money instantly.
Hope I don't get booted out for not being MSE!!!0
