Ive found the info about incapacity benefit that I mentioned when Crystalgekko posted saying she was worried about losing it.
This is from my local FMS support groups magazine

ESA replaced Incapacity benefit and Income support, paid because of an illness or disability, for new claims from 27 October 2008. Persons currently receiving these benefits will continue to do so, so long as they satisfy the entitlement conditions. ESA is quoted as a new way of helping people with an illness or disability to move into work, if they are able.

I hope that will help you

Hi guys. Welcome to the newbies

I know what you mean Raeh, any kind of confrontation (cyber or not) gets a bit stressful doesn't it? There are some days when I can't even take clothes back for a different size cos it feels like too much confrontation! :o

OH left (2nd) work early last night as they were overstaffed, so managed to put him to work packing again :D Nearly finished the back room now, the kitchen's done. The dining room's pretty much done... I need to put all the ornaments and knick knacks away in a box in the living room now and I'm sure a hundred other things... :o I'm gonna wait for OH to come home from job 1 tonight and see what I feel like [strike]doing[/strike] supervising :rotfl: I put the heating on in an attempt to make a shower look more appealing...not worked so far ;)

    3 days to go!! :j

I wish humour helped me. Doesn't always. I guess I'm just *waves hands* today... the brainfog has been steadily getting worse in the last few weeks, and I just... ugh. Feels like I'm losing half my personality with the loss of my short-term memory and concentration, and I hate it.

I know what you mean Trialia... you've gotta keep the faith that it will get better though. It's the only thing that can help sometimes...?

  • BZ, please go and have a shower so I can stop holding my nose.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

  • Trialia, agree with BZ. The only words of comfort I can add are that you're not alone in feeling like that. Sorry, it's not much help with a distressing symptom.

Kassandra, please don't be offended, but although I'm happy to ge you a Lush bag, just because you are so new and I don't know you, I would prefer Postal Orders. I am happy to cover the additional cost to pay for them, if that helps?
    Hope you understand.

    Hi Guys
thought id say hello as this is my first post here (that i know of..damn fibro fog)

Ive had FM since 1999 although wasnt offcially diagnosed till 2004 i think.
Now since then ive been diagnosed with CFS and also Myofascial Pain (awaiting confirmation)
These lovely combo of conditions has stopped me working, as ive tried so many different types of work and all are severly effected by the FM, to the point that every time ive been let off...its been due to some FM cause. I started my own business, but had to stop it due to be unable to cope and i have to claim IB to survive. I live with my dad, but hes retired and has diabeties, aswell as not fully understanding my conditiosn so doesnt act as a carer for me...i have ususally been unsucessful in application for DLA so havent tried recently.

Anyway....the worst part now is the stress im under now ive been told my IB has been stopped as i didnt fulfil the needed points after having that assessment!!!!
I got to see the form and where they'd put their comments and most of them were !!!!!!!! or the total opposite to what id said in the interview! To say im livid is an understatement. IM seeing the CAB tomorrow to seek advise on how to appeal as damn it..i have to have IB to survive..Its not that much anyway

anyway thats my fun and joyful introduction.

Kassandra how did it go at the docs?

Cwta have you heard word back from S/e? Starting to miss her now...believe it or not ;)

Welcome Sakara  Sounds like a crap, and unfortunately not unusual, situation you find yourself in. My commiserations...or whatever the right word is...! We understand what you're going through, is what I meant :o

Now, shall I go show SIL the wedding dress I've seen tomorrow or recouperate some more...? I want her to see before the interfering mother...who potentially will come see on Monday...
