Love the witch piccies!!
Unfortunately, I think I should change the location to The Village Idiot of the West *grin*.
BTW, I can only think of one way of avoiding the menopause, and I don't fancy it much

Thanks for the encouragement, folks. CwtA yes I am on anti-depressants - have been for the last 37 years! I'm on the maximum dose of the last-ditch ones available to me. When these stop working..... well, let's just say it doesn't bear thinking about.
I think I know what's caused this - started my period yesterday. 100 days since the last one.:eek::eek: (Sorry if TMI).
Welcome to the newbies who've joined us while I've been AWOL.
Sharon I've never got the hang of pacing myself. I keep promising myself I'll do better, then I get a good-ish day, go at everything like a bull at a gate (well, OK, a very small calf) and regret it for the next week.
Clarabella yes, I had the "can't cope with seeing you ill" bit from my first husband. When he then went on to say "if you want to commit suicide, go ahead" I decided enough was enough, and divorced him.
Right, time for me to start gathering my energy to get a cheese roll for lunch.:p
Hello LW, sorry you are going through it at present, I missed your post yesterday or I'd have been on sooner to offer support. I was just wondering about anti-depressants as I've been on Prozac for a lot of years, at one stage 60mg per day - but now I am back down to 20mg and occasionally I'll take 40mg on alternate days for a couple of weeks. I've never been offered a change and sometimes I do wonder if they are still effective. Does meditation help? I find it does if I start before I hit the bottom of the pit, but once down there it is a mammoth task to claw your way out. I think the fibro plays an immense part in the depression and it's not the other way around as most docs would have us think:rolleyes:. When I am in pain I am disinclined to move, because I know moving makes the pain worse (whether that's the fibro, the arthritis or any of the other problems I don't know) plus I feel the cold as a physical pain - so if sitting on the sofa under a blanket with a hot water bottle helps then that is what I'll do.
My favourtie coping strategies include losing myself in a really good book (often one I've read before so I don't have to work out who is who) and knitting or crocheting as keeping the pattern in my head leaves little room for the depression. It is aways easy to offer advice when outside the pit though. I remember my mother had really bad depression during the menopause so perhaps that's to blame? It's rotten when things start getting all irregular and you never know when periods are going to turn up. My last one was November 25th and everytime I keep hoping that this really might be the last one! I am quite looking forward to 'croning' and becoming one of the wise-women of the tribe:rotfl:.
I'm very glad you got shot of your ex-husband - he sounds like a really selfish !!!!!!;). I hope he finds someone more suitable to treat him with the same degree of "caring".
Here's hoping you feel better soon. I can just see the tips of daffs poking through the soil outside my window so spring really is on the way :T.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Unity thanks for your kind words. I seem to be having trouble meditating just at the moment; seem to get "stuck" somewhere along the line.
I think the time of the year doesn't help; hopefully with the Spring approaching, things will improve. I might even be able to get the mobility scooter out and go for a trundle (if I can find an excuse to bother), LOL.
Mr LW has Monday 2nd Feb off work, so hopefully we'll do something nice then.;)
He's also got Tues 3rd off, but that's for him to visit the Fang Farrier as he has a tooth that needs seeing to (more expense *SIGH*)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lw I do hope you manage to climb out of the pit soon, although today I feel like I might be joining you. I finally came off sertraline last month as I hate that numb feeling that a/d give you and I was sure I could cope without them, I have some left but dont know wether to just start taking them again or leave it a few days incase it passes, well you never know

That is beautiful! I particularly like the neckline and the embroidery on the train. You were thinking of having the detailing in burgundy, is that right?
The bow under the bust line gives it a lovely shape.
I think it is truly stunning. :T :T :T :TI must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Awww Shucks, thanks Cwta
Yeah all the detailing would be in like the "bordeaux" reddy/burgundy colour...
I didn't like the bow thing when I saw it on the hanger, but after I'd put it on I did think it made it more flattering..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Thanks LameWolf. Not made my mind up on it yet, but the fact I don't hate it is a great start! :rotfl:
