Raeh, woo hoo at the voucher (nearly) arriving! Is there a John Lewis near you? My nearest is a 4 hour drive away and even I'm not that keen *grin*. Hope you had a giggle at the pub and didn't have to crawl home. Thank gawd for friends.

Have a good time tonight, jamla

Mind has gone blank about what I was gonna say - not unusual *grin*

  • I don't have a postcard - will a carrier pigeon do?? Evening like you had last night aren't they - they tend to cheer my mood for quite a few days afterwards.
And lay off the competitions - it's time for me to have a win! :D
I've only ever won one thing and that was a tube of foundation that was the colour of those old tights - do you remember - american tan?!
I was really chuffed too :o

Why's OH going to Canada? He's gonna have to bring you back something really nice :D

p.s. Just wandered over to JL site and there's free delivery at the mo.

BZ the dress is stunning.front suited you and l loved the detail on the train.
Ta very much Sharon. I love the detail too, I think I'd rather it went further up, like the Alfred Angelo ones do, but then the AA ones do up corset stylee and this ones a zip...guess you can't have everything eh?

I was supposed to be taking a (different) friend with me to try it on again today, get a third opinion, but I came down with what we thought was MIL2Bs cold which got worse and worse as the day wore on yesterday, to the point where I was shivering with chills and had earache and my tonsils were being naughty by night time. I only managed to sleep between night sweats, where I would wake up far too hot, kick the covers off, only to pull them back over shivering 30seconds later  I asked OH to look at my tonsils but he didn't seem very concerned...but when he went to work I checked my temp on my trusty thermometres (is it unusual that I have these? no one else I know seems to really have them! - maybe it's an age thing though?) and it was 101.4!! I looked at my tonsils in the mirror and they had the telltale white on them so made an emergency appointment with the doc (which I had to get taxis to and from cos OH went in the car to work...but to be fair I did tell him he could, so long as he got me plenty of ultra balm tissues first ;)) and he confirmed my suspicions of tonsilitis. :( He gave me a double issue of Caneston (sp?) Duo to see me through my strong doses of antibiotics... which I'm gutted about having to take again so soon as I've only just got over the rather unpleasant side-effects of the last lot :( Having tonsilitis is really the last thing I wanted while packing up for the move too... methinks I'm going to have to try and enlist some more help from somewhere...

How's everyone else's day going, while I'm tucked up on the couch with full joggers on and a quilt...?

  • I want to know who the jogger is that you have on!

Sorry to hear your woes BZ. That's rotten luck. Can only hope that as you caught it early the treatment may be effective quickly. Can you get something for the tonsilitis on a repeat prescrition like with you anti-flybotics? Just to make it easier for you?

BTW, zipideedoodah, zipideeday, my, oh my, what a wonderful [strike]day[/strike] wedding dress. :D:p

Oh dear oh dear. Is that the best you can do? :rotfl:

It's not me who has anti-flybots on repeat.... but I am also hoping that as I picked it up quick and am treating it quick that it will go away quick. It's not my most favourite illness, I can tell ya!

You really are excited about my wedding aren't you Auntie Axe? Bless your cotton socks :)
