Ok now I am annoyed, does anyone on here seel things on EBay ? I dont usually, Im too busy buying things but DIL asked me to sell a few things for her as their not on the net, one of these things is a Louis Vitton bag one of her posh customers gave her ( shes a nail technition ) it's an old one but in good condition, I put everything else on but had trouble listing the bag, eventually I changed the title and it went on although a warning came up saying you must not list counterfit goods etc, it is definitly genuine, oday Ive had an email from EBay saying they have removed my listing because of trademark infringement ! Theres loads of other designer bags on there so I dont know why they think this ones a fake. I feel like they are accusing me of being a criminla and its put me off wanting to go on there now.

  • i wish i was off to warmer climes, if i could afford it i would be but not a chance of even anywhere in europe happening this year (unless my sister pays again). im off to oxfordshire to help out with my cousins so my aunt and uncle can try and get organised for their move to the states early next month. if i watch the kids they can pack and sort and such like since twins are not old enough to be trusted to play nicely/safely on their own for more than 5 mins at a time (and they are mostly well behaved kids at that).

i think ebay started telling everyone listing things as designer that they mustne be fake, they have a really big problem with sellers claiming they are genuine and they are not. they brought in limits like "10 designer" items per month per seller or something as i have seen complaints elsewhere that listings got pulled/never went up. it wont be personal. or someone else has seen your listing and assumed its fake (its pretty impossible to tell from a photo) and reported it just for the sake of it. there are people who do that for fun. or if lois themselves have someone watching ebay they may have requested it be pulled as you are not on their list of sellers/stockists. tbh id say its not worth the hassle trying to sell something, genuine or not.
other problem you could have is someoone buys it, says its faulty, files a dispute with paypal so you have no choice but to allow them to return it and refund them and they send you a fake or damaged bag instead and keep your good one. ive seen sellers complain of that recently too. actually since ebay changed the rules and sellers are not allowed to leave neg feedback it seems to happen (or be complained about) a lot more frequently.

i have a pile of stuff i need to sell, but i keep deciding its not worth he risk and the hassle these days nor the more expensive seller fees.

Thanks pcl It's just annoying that now Ive got an alert saying my account is under observation until 19th April ! I wouldnt normally sell things on there at all but DIL was desperate to try and raise a bit of money, she's a terrible shopaholic and is forever spending a fortune on uselss things she never uses, I think my DS has started to put his foot down :D I'll avoid Ebay for a while which is not a bad thing, I have been spending a bit too much on there since Ive been ill, well I cant get to the shops and I need to get my retail therapy kick somehow :rotfl:
Thanks for explaining it to me

bz you will know if thats 'the' dress :D was it a coloured one you saw or not? i love the coloured ones

bz i have to nip and have a look in the grabbit section in case i miss something :o :rotfl: not that i have any money left at all this month as we were paid early before xmas  il keep myself in the comps bit now
    I know there's supposed to be a "the" dress...and I'm sure it's true...but I'm really bad for doubting myself and...so I doubt myself!
The dress is predominantly ivory, but has filigree style embroidery on it (the one I tried on it was black embroidery, but on mine it would be "bordeaux". It's like a scalloped edging with a sweetheart neckline but they've put a kind of modesty piece in where the cleavage would be show and there's a little kind of belted ribbon under the bust, where the more flattering "waist" is ;) They'll do straps to my requirements etc...

Your excuse for the grabbit section is a bit like the antithesis of if I don't know it's there I can't spend it!

Cwta OUCH on your bill! Do they just screw you over down there for everything, not just rent?!

I spent the afternoon in bed (it's just too damn cold!) and had a nap before taking MIL2B to her appointment. On the way back I picked up chippy and went all out on chips, jumbo sausage, gravy, barmcake...and guess what....I'm still hungry! It's this bluddy cold :( How do you satisfy the hunger that comes with a cold?! Stupid MIL2B reinfecting me...mumble mumble, mutter mutter...

  • bz, that dress sounds gorgeous!

It was one of the more expensive services - next year it sould be back down to just over £100. But, yes, everything down here seems that bit more expensive. The price you pay for living in a holiday area. The only thing that isn't high is the wages!

Watch out for that cold going to your chest again. From what you say, it's got a lot of chest to go to :D

Just been a good girl and had a big bowl of Soya Yoghurt - good excuse to now hve some choccie to take the taste away ;)
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Thanks very much for all your help esp the website am just in the process of contacting them for mum now. Mum has also been to the gp and got a script for tramadol. She is going to try them tonight to see if they help her sleep she is so down about it this time, she can hardly walk today for the pain.

Thanks Cwta :) I may make the photos viewable (once I'm back on my own pc again) if you're all very good girls... ;)

I'm more worried about the cold/virus going to my tonsils tbh...I have nightmarish problems with them and I can already feel my left tonsil going beserk. I've taken the day (as well as the weekend) off to try and recover a bit/not make myself any worse, but I'm getting a tad worried about time ticking away now and I'm conscious that we only have like 10 days left :o

Sukysue glad that she's been to see the GP and hope your mum gets some relief from the Tramadol. Word to the wise: the tramadol can take about 30mins to kick in, and if you're taking them with other painkillers (eg Co-codamol and/or Diclofenac) then it can make you a bit spacey - might be worth warning her so she's not too concerned..?

    Hello there Pebbles and welcome

I'm a (fairly) newbie on this thread too :-)

Sorry to hear that you're in so much pain and distress. I'd always say to be as open and honest with GP as possible. It's frustrating having to go over everything esp if you think they're not 'hearing' you. But don't give up. Is there more than one doctor in the practice? perhaps someone who may be easier talk to, even a nurse?

my gp is pretty good in general, i just think he doesnt know what to do from here IYSWIM.

How far along with your Benefit Appeal are you?

i think its still only at reconsideration still, got letter from them on 30th dec saying they had received the letter, and that they will be in touch to either say 'yes' or to inform me that its going to appeal. i was told today by my Disability employment adviser that they currently taking up to 8 months! i may have hacked my own limb off by then! :D

I think the pain in the arms/wrists/shoulders etc is quite common. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel, the re-diagnosed with raynauds. From the little I know fibro is notoriously hard to pin down and some folks go years b4 they get a firm diagnosis, if there is such a thing.

Stress does make things worse, so try not to get too angry with yourself for feeling low or because of the limitations your condition puts on your life (yep I know it's easy to say).

i know what you mean, i am just so worried now that they have decided im 'fit for work' that im kinda stuck, obviously as im on jsa (cos we desp need some money coming in) and now i having to look for work regardless of whether it will hurt me more or if i can even do it. I am so scared that one day i will wake up and i will have done more damage!

I don't know about your meds, I'm on different ones by the sound of it. But I'm sure some of the 'fibro-veterens' here may shed some light for you. There is a lot of knowledge, experience, and support here (lots of laughs too!)

this forum is invaluable, i recommend it to everyone i can for so many reasons

Try to get some sleep if you can, it's one of the best things you can do. Hope things go well for your Mums op, and that you get a good night's sleep

update, she has had the op, and instead of a general anaesthetic they gave her a epidural and some sedation, she said the only thing she didnt like was the hammering noise *that was when they hammering the ball joint replacement into her thight bone  ), im very very proud of her, i couldnt have done it without a GA, i found my carpal tunnel op really hard cos i could hear everything, and still feel quite a bit too. it was like when you take your car to the garage and they make that sucky noise as if to say, well this is !!!!!!ed and its gonna be expensive!!

All the best sorry I can't be of more help

You have been of help, its wonderful to speak to people who know how it feels! thank you !
Please be nice to all moneysavers!
