Haha! I'm guessing she's around my mum's age... which is quite scary as you're nearer my age!

Independance Day performance wasn't three bad actually...

Shhh, lol, I want her to guess when she sees Mary as Roslin how old she is. ;) Nobody ever gets it right first time without looking her up! :P

It's okay - she doesn't know how old I am ;):D and I'm not saying anything :shhh:. To be honest, I guessed MM's age to within two years which isn't bad - but I think there's something inbuilt that lets us recognise people who are around the same age, give or take five years or so.

Lol... yep. She's 56. Most people pin her as younger than that, but she's wearing a lot of makeup in that picture. *g*

    Hi all,

Thanks first to Suep for pointing me in the direction of the knitting thread - girl you don't know what you've done :D:D:eek:. From there I found a great site http://www.ravelry.com/ and it is wonderful - so I just wondered if any of the knitters on here are members? If you are, then you may or may not know that a group has been formed on Ravelry for MSE'ers. There's only about twenty odd members at present but it's nice to see people you know. Some of the patterns are to die for - for instance there's some remarkable hats - so I spent yesterday looking through the pages and salivating over what to knit next.:D

I warn you now though - it is addictive!

Im glad I posted it now Unity, as you know Im not a knitter myself but I noticed the thread when there was a big discussion on here about kntting. Its amazing what you can find on this forum isnt it, Ive spent the afternoon looking at random threads I wouldnt usually read and laughing at a few arguments, some people get well uptight dont they  I havnt got the energy to get angry.

its horridly wet out there now and cold again, no wonder my cat wanted the heating turned up this morning, she knew it was coming i guess.

knitting is one thing i never could get the hang of. learnt in school but spent most of my time getting teacher to either cast on or off or pick up dropped stitches for me.

my mechanic very kindly let me not pay for the oil (will add it on at service if he remembers i know) but also very kindly told me my engine sounds slightly off and car is really on its way to the scrapheap sooner rather than later. i was hoping for another year out of it to give me a chance to save and get a nearer new one rather than another one that will only last a few years :(

lw everything sue said, depression is no fun. hope it lifts soon.

bz i think i told it to add you back, i am however now going to be away from the internet most of the next couple of weeks so i really wont be online until saturday week, unless i pop home for a night or two but then that means driving down the m1 more so i more than likely wont.

I'm with you Suep, I don't have the energy either. Although that stupid CBT woman wondered what I did with my anger...*sigh*

Where you off to PCL? Anywhere interesting?

Keep have to remembering Cwta isn't around cos of the service. Hope her dad's not driven her crazy!

    Hope S/e is ok too...

I've gotta take MIL2B to her appointment now, so I'll check in later...

Gosh its taken me ages to read today :D and as usual i now cant remember a thing i want to reply to :o *goes off to reread and reply*

Auntie Axe well done on the smoke alarms ;)

bz you will know if thats 'the' dress :D was it a coloured one you saw or not? i love the coloured ones

LW you always have here to come and talk about how you are feeling :( im sorry you are feeling so low but maybe 'talking' /'typing' may help? i find it so much easier when reading on mse, whichever thread that may be, to forget everything for a short while?

sukysue welcome to the thread, :) i dont have anything to add to the [good] advice already given but theres a good bunch of people on here to complain, chat, talk to [delete as appropriate]

trialia i was going to guess her ages as 54 :p and unity that wasnt because im within 5 years of her age :rotfl: not yet anyway :o

pcl it amazes me that people argue so much on the internet, they dont know each other, can just turn the comp off but yet still they carry on, does make for great reading though ;)

i dont have msn anymore as it seemed to cause too many problems with my laptop and now use yahoo instead, seems to be easier.

bz i have to nip and have a look in the grabbit section in case i miss something :o :rotfl: not that i have any money left at all this month as we were paid early before xmas  il keep myself in the comps bit now

Just coz it was a service where they had to change the brake fluid. *sigh* It's the wrong time of the year to get the car seen to I think.

BZ Dad did start driving me crazy, he was moaning about everything and gradualy getting more and more p1ssed as the afternoon went on and I started to lose patience. You can choose your friends etc, etc. However, the chooks have started laying, so I came away with some eggs.

LW don't stay away whilst you're feeling low, eh? Isolating yourself when you are depressed is a natural instinct I think, but I've found that it takes me longer to recover when I do that, so I try to force myself to interact.
Are you on anti-depressants? Does the dose need altering? Thinking of you and sending you sunshine and peaceful thoughts.

Trialia, what'sherface looks bluddy good for her age! It's sad that I look 10 times worse than that and I'm years younger.

pcl, you heading off to warmer climes again??

Raeh, I love it on days like this when there are loads of posts to read. But then I'm a sad individual with no life, so have to live vicariously through t'internet *grin*.
I have to stay away from the Grabbit board or I end up with 2 extra DVD players just coz they're dirt cheap - like I did last year *sheepish grin*.
You've inspired me to start doing comps again - I've had a bout 6 months off from doing them regularly but am back in the swing of it again.

s/e has got connection problems at the moment, but I'm sure she'll be back when they're sorted out.

btw, we had about 5 mins of very wet snow today! and longer of hailstones. Weird weather.

    Sorry if I've missed anyone.
    Enjoy your respective dinners.
