Come back from your hols with loads of lovely stories pcl, and have a wonderful Xmas.
s/e, poor ickle thing. Have lots of rest this weekend if you can, stay warm and tucked up with the radio and a good book. Flooring looks fantastic - the room looks twice as big and it wasn't too bad having the chaps in. I know them both and they're a good laugh, but not having anywhere to sit down took it's toll on me. Although, to occupy myself, I did make some nice Chicken Liver Pate *grin*.
I look like (and feel like) I've been beaten up as I'm covered in bruises from moving stuff around.
Also, had my handbag stolen whilst out yesterday. The shock to the toerag who took it is that it was a spare large one I carry shopping in and it probably only had soggy tissues and carp in it. At this time of year and anytime when shops are busy, I never carry my purse in my handbag anyway so nerrrr to them.
I'm still going to take it easy this weekend as cleaner is apparently actively looking for more work, so she's coming to help me out next week thank goodness. Then we can set up a proper schedule. Yes, I'll still tidy up before she comes too!
Flooring has made everything else in the living room look jaded, so in new year, will task Dad's wife to make new curtains for me. She even charges me for the thread she uses! Generosity of spirit is soomething she is sadly lacking in.
Back later no doubt folks.
x
p.s. To anyone I owe replies to, I'll get round to them before weekend is out. I hope!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Dunno about making me feel better, obviously none of us take pleasure from it
Glad you're ok s/e, if a little pooped. You too Cwta. Guess the festive season's taking it out of one and all, eh?
Enjoy your jolly's pcl, have a grand time on us!Merry Christmas to you too :xmassign:
LilacLillie: I'm not really sure I can help you either. I got the diagnosis of ME through, as s/e says, a lengthly process of elimination and the fibromyalgia dx came after, almost as a result of that. I would suggest that either you're not pestering your GP enough (or being effective enough in your communication I should say) or that it's the wrong GP for you, if they're not taking your concerns/symptoms seriously enough. Perhaps if you went in armed with a list of symptoms that you are experiencing, perhaps with some indication of what might be bringing them on - or even a diary from at least a couple of weeks, with your experience of your symptoms marked when, where, how etc - and discuss it with them? If they still don't take you seriously I would request a referral to a General Physician (which believe it or not is not a GP - it's more of a consultant in a hospital who dabbles in all fields) and then leave the GP practice. It takes a long time to see our Gen. Phys. - probably a 6month waiting list - which is why I suggest requesting that referral first. He/she will likely do a barrage of tests and suggest any possibilities, including further referrals. Hope this helps!
I'm trying to fool myself that I will be doing some pressie wrapping tonight...whilst XFactor and Strictly's onThat will only really happen if I can get comfy on the floor to do it (yeah right!) and I manage to troll upstairs and back with the pressies from the pressie box. *sigh* What do you reckon my chances are?

BZ, if you feel anything like me I would give it a slim to nil chance
Although anything that distracts you from X Factor can't be a bad thing
I'm completely freaked out tha I go away in 10 days, so neighbours will be coming in to feed cat and Sister staying for a few days whilst I'm away and I have so many things to do.
If I can find the Xmas cards, I may get round to doing them tomorrow - provided I can find the address book as well.
BTW, looking a the sun and plucking my eyebrows makes me sneeze, so I sortta know what you mean bz.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Feeling rough are you dude?
I am pretty knackered but I do quite enjoy wrapping pressies, sadly enough, so once everything's gathered together down here I should be ok (barring the good ol' motor skills symptoms!)...I have a feeling I'll need a widdle soon, and I'll put the heating on and attempt to root the pressies out and drag em down at the same time...
Doesn't looking at the sun (without plucking eyebrows) make you sneeze too?
Don't mention Xmas cards. I banned them. (Apart from for my lovely fianceand my aunt who sent one. And some long lost relatives of OH's that I'm trying to blag for family tree info
)

A) Thanks for sharing!Smarty pants!
And last, but not least, why hasn't the heating been on before?! It's been wicked cold here and got chilled through yesterday with various windows, front door open whilst they were working. Heat has been on all day which is unusual for me.
I found my cards and address book, but will have to write them tomorrow as am too idle now. Better news is the chap who fitted flooring phoned me today; he's an artisan carpenter and designer and wants me to help him out with the business in the New Year! PR/Marketing, book-keeping etc. A chance to get my brain back in gear which is most welcome.
BTW have been meaning to mention all week - those of you who still expend energy on looking after your skin, the Consultant Dermatologist said last week never to use Dermabrasion as it traumatises skin. So thereI must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Sharing... well what can I say Cwta? I'm a caring sharing kind of person!
I actually wasn't being a smarty pants (this time!)...sometimes when I look into the sunlight I sneeze! (I think I might just be weird though)
I found most of the pressies...and, after cursing you (Cwta) for hiding them from me, I finally found the scissors and cellotape! I've wrapped nearly all of them, just waiting (for some reason) for OH to come back from work so I can get his opinion on which perfume to give which niece. I managed to find some items for [strike]free[/strike] :silenced: regifting :shhh:so waiting on OH to choose which one is more suitable (then he gets the blame, of course) before I wrap them and still need to dig out some birthday paper for those awkward gits that will let their parents be born near Christmas! (Full of the Christmas spirit me(!))

I do [STRIKE]love[/STRIKE]hate it when they make up scientificy sounding words in the hope that you'll be wowed over and blinded by "science"."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Lilaclilly - I was dx with Fibro 12 years ago, there is no definite test for Fibro, I had several elimination tests, then was given the tenderpoint test which is the only Fibro test at the moment but isnt very reliable. They press gently on certain points of your body and if you find at least 11 of them extremely painful and the other tests are clear you would probably be dx with Fibro. Most people are dx by Rheumis as most gps dont know much about it. You can find out more at
http://www.ukfibromyalgia.com/ or you are welcome to pm me with any questions.
Hope everyone else is ok and like Sharon I love sprouts, xmas cake and xmas pudding although I dont eat turkey becuase Im a vegetarian, so its nut roast for me :rudolf:

BZ, thought you were being funny about me looking at sun at the same time as plucking eyebrows. Soz if I was wrong.
I do take on board what you are saying about the work. Would be in the New Year and I would work from home on it. I will make my limitations quite clear to him. Would be ad hoc stuff, but maybe I'll have more of a thunk about it.
Hope all have a decent night.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
