OH's orphaned friend often comes to his for Christmas, which is fine, but he LOVES brussel sprouts and I hate them, so unless there's a special brussel sprouts microwaveable pack (which there is in Asda, luckily for him!) then he ain't havin em!
I don't like Brussels sprouts either. Luckily, neither does Mr LW. Don't care for the....er....after-effects of 'em, either!

I actually saw a Xmas card in a shop the other day which just had Brussels sprouts as a picture..... weird, or what? Or is it one you'd send to someone you don't like?:D

I can't even stand the smell of them boiling. It's a sealed microwavable bag or nothing for me. And that's only under duress! He ate a FULL bag of them _pale_
The card, well there would only the brussel loving freaks that would get any kind of kick out of those..right? (bleurgh)

  • LOL LW, once used those Xmas cards with sprouts on for corporate clients! I really liked them!

Flooring done and I'm absolutely shattered, but have to clear stuff off the bed so I can sleep in it tonight!

I'll be back when I have a brain again.

Maybe I can hold out til DF finishes work..? :D Luckily all the powerpoints are on a different circuit, so I still have internet - or that could've been messy!!

Hmmm maybe fibromites just don't like sprouts. Include me in that club.

I have another one. Does anyone actually like Christmas pudding? Sorry I can't stand it- nor can I stand Christmas cake. I mean, why waste all the fat, calories and decadence on that? To each their own I guess but I think we're having cherry cheesecake pie, trifle and some sort of unspecified chocolate something.

I don't make the typical British Christmas dinner. I make the American one. It's basically the same except we have green bean casserole instead of sprouts, sweet potato casserole & mashed potatoes instead of roast taters & parsnips, and we've ditched the Christmas pudding for a decadent delight of our choice. We don't do the cocktail sausages either.... usually we also have a fruit salad.

Just rambling, sorry. Just trying to decide which direction to go in on this one! I promise I will start making comments relevant to the thread and people involved. Oh boy I do tend to waffle when I write.

Anyway, have a fantastic Friday night everyone!

Don't worry about it Pamaris. I'm sure we're as bad enough if not worse ;)

I don't like sprouts, or parsnips (roasted or not). I don't mind Christmas pud, once a year with lashings of custard and a blob of icecream, but Christmas cake is not my thing. Too heavy for me. Another reason I turned down my mum's offer to make a wedding cake for us - I am *not* having fruit cake!! Not keen on cherries but I'm with you on the cheesecake :D. Don't like trifle either. But the unspecified chocolate something sounds devine :D

I've got a headache now, after dropping friend at train station. Also broke promise to myself to eat better by getting maccy's whilst waiting for the train. :( Oh well, there was no chance I was going to actually cook something better for myself tonight anyway, too knackered from yesterday still.

  • Give yourself a break BZ. A takeaway or quick meal is the better option sometimes than exhausting yourself cooking.

I've only managed to eat 2 biccie today, so am starving, but too knackered to cook.

Have managed to clear junk off bed so I can at lest sleep in it tonight (and, I suspect, most of tomorrow), but have a stinker of a headache and don't feel too well. Nothing that a loooooooong sleep won't sort out I'm sure.

There was something else I was going to say, but it's gone.

While I would agree with you, I was rather mortified to learn how much weight I've put on (at my Asthma clinic this week) and as you *may* know (;)) I have a wedding to get in shape for!

Fricking landlady's just rung playing it all caring sharing. I wanna puke. Or kill her. Or something. I have rage, that's all I need to know I guess

  • Don't let her get to you BZ. That gives her power over you. Do try to chill, however hard it may be.

Hope s/e is OK. She's not been around at all which is unusual. Maybe puter is playing up.

I'm all out of being able to put words together coherently, I think.
