Don't let her get to you BZ. That gives her power over you. Do try to chill, however hard it may be.

Hope s/e is OK. She's not been around at all which is unusual. Maybe puter is playing up.

I'm all out of being able to put words together coherently, I think.
I know but the biatch annoys me. And it reflects back on so-called friend as she's clearly seen my status's on Facebook which show mine and my other friends' displeasure (shall we say?) at the situation... Grrrr

I was wondering about s/e too. And raeh's not been in today (or maybe a couple of days?).

Ok, I have a new random one.

I was describing a pain (to a friend) that I have on the left side of my head, like under my skin but above the skull, that wasn't so much painful painful, as "it's like lots of little stabs, or what I would imagine tattooing to feel like, it's more just annoying and it's that kind of pull a stubborn eyebrow hair out and it makes you sneeze type pain. But more of it, if you see what I mean".

She didn't see what I mean! :o She laughed at me for sneezing at that type of pain. Her and her girlfriend never had that.

Am I alone in this?

Thanks for noticing, CwtA. 'Fraid I rather over-did it this week. Somehow I managed to have to go out 4 times in 5 days and by the time I got back from the dentist yesterday I was fit for nothing.

I dragged myself off to bed around 8.00 last night and pretty much slept through 'til 8.00 this morning. I guess I must have needed the rest.

I hope you slept well last night and that the flooring looks worth the upheaval.

Dunno about making me sneeze, but I do frequently suffer from quite severe stabbing pains in the sides of my head. Does that make you feel better?

  • Oh, and by the way - I love sprouts, Christmas cake and Christmas pudding. Sadly, there will be no Christmas cake this year, 'cos I haven't been up to making one, but we will have a Christmas pud as I've still got one left from last year.

I don't particularly like turkey though, so we'll be having chicken. Oh, and there won't be any parsnips 'cos they're the veg of the devil. Along with beetroot, although people don't normally have that with Christmas dinner.

  • i love roast parsnips but sprouts are gross i agree.
i actually learnt to like a lot of veg i hated when i learnt that my parents did not cook them anything resembling properly and other people did.

hope you are all feeling more rested today.
  • Can anyone tell me what test Dr's can do to find out if I have FM please?
I have an underactive thyroid and although my blood test says I'm ok my body doesn't agree.
I still have all the symptoms and I think my Dr has made a 'note' on his PC that I am a 'nutter', because when I saw a locum last week he looked at the screen and sort of treated me like one!
I am constantly tired but when I go to bed at night can't sleep, my hair is falling out, terrible pains in my back, across my shoulders and generally exhausted during the day, can't sleep at night and just feel ill all the time. My body feels heavy and constantly in pain or aching.
I am having trouble losing weight on Slimming World diet, even though I stick to it like glue.
I know this is NOT normal, but am fed up with being treated like an idiot at the DR's and trying to self diagnose.
I don't want it, but might it be FM???

Bearing in mind that I'm not a doctor, and that I also don't have Fibro, but I was under the impression that like ME, a diagnosis is arrived at by eliminating other diagnoses.

Having said that, a lot of your symptoms sound to me like underactive thyroid. Any chance of getting your GP to up your medication? I presume you are on some kind of medication for it?

Failing that, any chance of a change of doctor? I was registered with a carp doc who was determined that all my symptoms were in my mind - I'm currently with a wonderful GP who takes me seriously and has got me referred to a Rheumatologist who also takes me seriously, even if there's not a lot she can do for me.

Welcome to the thread LL, even if I can't say much that will help at the moment.
