    evening all

well i am too old to change so you are stuck with me as i am and i dont want to see anyone leaving or feeling they cant have a bit of support when they need it, we can all make sure we can add in a bit of os where we can

isnt that what friends are for, i had my friend up today, we gave support to each other, swopped magazines, she took up a sweet potato and told me how to cook it, talked about our families and had a laugh and i dont see why here should be different

i had a walk in the afternoon as the sun was shining and the trees are beautiful just now then i had the boys over for a while so i havent done anything os apart from taking a pork casserole from the freezer that i had cooked a few days earlier

tidied up the greenhouse a bit too and put in a new cardboard box with blankets for the cats if they stay out all night

hugs to all who need them :smileyhea

Jackie, I wondered if you had seen this thread about the bras from Asda for post-surgery use...

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1148967

    Hi,
no I missed that thanks for the link. I will have a look ,hopefully next week when I feel more like driving again.mastectomy bras are quite expensive ,I did try to adapt my original ones by sewing some 'holders' in for some of my DGD's 'chicken fillets' that she lent to me but it just doesn't work very well.
Had my plaice with new spuds and veggies and mushroom and cheese sauce and it was very yummy.Just off to sort out my knitting bag.
    have a good evening everyone

My tip is to invest in small desk top fans in every room - keep them on full blast and bingo - self dusting rooms.

    Wine anyone?? :D

    Good evening all :hello:

Work today was busy, the electricity market has fallen off a lot, so everyone wants prices..NOW!

Home again, DS (aged 23) has been looking after DD2 who has a nasty cold, as he had a day off, he has been the OSer today and has had the DW on, sorted the rubbish out and made chocolate muffins. I was very pleasantly surprised as while I know he knows how to cook, he hasn't done so spontaneously for a while. Apparently it was sausages for lunch too. :D Does anyone know how to train him to iron? ;)

Spag Bol for tea, which is a coincidence as on my way home I happened upon RTC parmesan cheese. It's a hard cheese, so I suppose I can freeze the leftover stuff. Can I grate it all and then freeze, or does it "clump?"

Nelski, love the idea of the fans, Thriftlady, I never struggle with housework, I just ignore it, lol. Someone famous once said 'My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance' don't know who said it but it works for me.

Ham week is over, see my blog for more details, tomorrow the GP is on at 6am, so I'll be cooking up a storm from then.
    Have a good evening.
    hugs Hester

    Hello Again

To all those thinking of leaving - please dont (pretty please)

Have had a really good day today. Got loads of paperwork done and can shut the door to the office for the weekend with no guilty concience (sp). Have done a couple loads of washing and dried most of it on the line.

Had a drive to the butchers in another village which was lovely as it was such a beautiful day. Bought some chicken breasts, pork for Sunday, some sausages and some 'proper' bacon, thick cut with a real rind iykwim. Also managed to get some veg including a lovely pumpkin.

Have avoided coronation street which the rest of the family are glued to as its all doom and gloom tonight.

So all in all am feeling very pleased with myself and looking forward to the weekend.

(Sorry if I am sounding smug - I dont mean to I just rarely have days like today).

Hi all - just checking in to say I hope everyone is having a great evening. I don't have anything useful to say except (((hugs))) where needed, so I'll probably pop in tomorrow.
