yeah I have had snap release and buckle collars, but mainly buckle and have never had a problem with either - butI have never had a dog get its collar caught n anything problematic, so i guess its rare, but I dont think they take so long to und that it would be a problem!
Glad she is doing so well with the cat! You might want to think about getting one of those firework noises CDs to desensitise her before next year, so she isnt stressed.
Its a mystery why some dogs arent claimed - Badger was a hand-in and my mums dog was a stray and they are both brill, but then sometimes when owners are traced they never collect their dogs from the pound, so I guess some people just are not that bothered.
I think she was meant to find you and vice versa!0 -

I think so too she's so much like my Speedwobble & I was heartbroken when she left! lol i'm paranoid with collars after the cats brother got his caught on his lower jaw! I keep looking at Chaya today thinking just how can anyone let her go & what happened to her it's so sad. I think now everyone should be forced to look round rescues before buying a Pup! Even if they go to the breed rescue! lol
I was telling my Uncles Fiancee about her yesterday, their dog is a rescue & came from Birmingham & they live in Hampshire! They think she's twelve so she said but i'm sure she said she was twelve when I last spoke to her 2yrs ago lmao. She's apparently a nice dog too, they've had her 10/11 years at least, she had a phantom pregnancy after they got her, hope Chaya doesn't I can imagine her carrying the cat about!
She met a Collie today, I was walking her up the alley next to our flats & the community centre that leads to the park & saw this woman come across the community centre car park so checked she wasn't gonna come up the alley & she said not unless mine wanted something to play with, so she came to chat through the fence to see what Chaya did, well her hackles went up & she was growling & lunged at the dog, except we kept the fence between us to make sure she couldn't get her, so I really think she does genuinely not like dogs.
The woman wondered if maybe while she was straying some had attacked her but I guess it might be part being Staffy mix, might be part of her past, we won't know. However, she will sit quietly once the dog is sitting quietly too, it's only if she's not told to sit & I let her go close. So they might be ok with her coming to obedience yet!
Next year for xmas I want someone to cook her some mashed potatoe/carrots & turkey! Any offers? lol I can't cook!0 -

He was amazing! I still can't work out how he did what he did, took my Dad to see him for his 60th b'day! I think i'll go to Nottingham it's a different tour this year! You so need to go it was 1,000x better live & he can't have people planted in the audience cause he throws a frisbee type thing out & whoever catches it he uses (I kept hoping it wouldn't come near me!)
lol anyway back to talking about ME, I mean Chaya! lol I can't believe i've had her for three weeks today. I got her some Frontline, not the Combo the Vets sell but just the online stuff, she doesn't have any fleas so it should do I hope! Gonna do her the first of each month when the cats done! lol
I didn't get any choccy for xmas! I'll go nuts at Asda tomorrow morning! In P@H they had these chocolate reindeer for dogs lol might get Chaya one next year!0 -
lol does anyone elses dogs talk in their sleep? Chaya just started to growl & sorta bark & I thought !!!!!! is she on at? but then called her name & her eyes rolled forwards & she'd been sleeping! lol silly mutt, can bark when asleep but not otherwise! Best hope any burglars break in silently so she might bark at them in her sleep!0
-
yeah Badger does this a lot - she grumbles, yips and mumbles in her sleep, sometimes with a whole lot of twitching, and leg movement.
She seems to do it most after an exciting day or when we have walked miles - my gran always said they were dreaming of chasing rabbits.0 -
My cavaliers twitch and mumble in their sleep a fair bit. Would love to know what they're dreaming about!0
-
Yes, I think all our dogs have dreamt - the little feet start "running" and they growl and yip.0

Kira does it on rare occasions but my ex's parents dog Max did it all the time and it was hillarious... we used to joke that we should mount a sideways treadmill for him - he'd be able to generate enough electricity to power the house the rate he went!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0
