dream on, you have some way to go before you reach the legendary status of SP!!
Yup she had an itchy bum, it happens!! Nothing to worry about there I think. Could well be her season - is she wormed??0 -

Yeah when I asked they told me they'd done her & would do her again before she left, idk if they did but they put on the notes she was done 11th November I think it was & is due in February so at least once. They said it'd either have been with Drontal or Miblemax however it's spelt!
I was gonna start a thread on cutting her toenails but realised the great sp has one all about cutting his own so I won't bother! She hasn't done it again since anyhow so I guess she's ok! I did read crossbreeds are less likely to need it.
I spent two years living 5 days a week with the kennels three dogs & two were full breeds (Papillon & Jack Russell Terrier) & they didn't get em done so i'll relax & think of my next worry!0 -
lol - re: dog toenails (I believe 'claws' is the technical term!;) ) - unless they are really overgrown then they should wear down to an appropriate length with regular walks on hard surfaces (tarmac, concrete etc).
D'ya know, I am intrigued now by your mention of SP's toenail cutting thread!!! - I am trying to persuade myself that to go and look for it is not a good idea, for so many reasons!!!:rotfl:0 -
FC - unless you're my hound who mainly goes straight to the field so hardly walks on the road to wear them down - thankfully I'm well practised at clawtrimming
The secret is a good quality pair of clippers and not the rubbish ones out of P@H

yeah I agree - I can tell when I have not done so many 'road' miles with Badger and we have been in the fields more! - The only time I did her claws tho, I used toenail clippers and bribery!!!0 -
lol booked her in at the dog groomers 5th January so she can do them! lol omg you have to read the toenails thread it's a classic!0

LOL I think you have a long way to go before you are anything like him! I can't make out if he is genuine, a troller or just likes having a good moan! Sometimes I feel like telling him just to get a grip!
I had rats too but I had to leave them behind when I left my ex as my Mum wouldn't have them in the house.:( I would like to get some more but funds and space are limited. I had one called Molly that used to climb all over me and when she was tired she would curl up and go to sleep in my bra!! I was worried I would suffocate her not being exactly flat chested but she was fine! I miss my little ratties, maybe when the guinea pigs die I might get a pair of them, I love the look of Dumbo rats they are so sweet!0 -
How nice for Chaya to be in a lovely warm home for Christmas - I am so glad you chose a rescue dog, and I bet she is too!!
Being a brindle staffie (for some reason not a popular colour - but I think its subtle and classy!) she may well have been overlooked, for no good reason and could well have been in kennels for a long, long time.
Not only have you helped Chaya, you have also helped the dog who inevitably took Chaya's place in kennels after you homed her, and which otherwise may have been on the streets over christmas, in the pound, or even pts.
As Chaya proves, it is perfectly possible to find a nice, affectionate, cat friendly, house trained companion from rescue - she is a great example to all those who think all rescue dogs (and especially staffies!) will be barking, snarling, furniture chewing monsters!!0 -

They said when I first called them that she'd been in 4/5 weeks, but she wasn't vaccinated until 11th November & again on 25th, surely they'd vaccinate her after her 7 days are up? So maybe it wasn't that long
She was so scared of the fireworks last night I was glad she was safe & warm in my bed with me  I had her one side & the cat the other! ONLY cause she was so scared she wanted to come to me lol but we went onto the garden for her pee & some went off & she went nuts, if she was still straying she could easily have caused a car crash she didn't know which way to run & was going in circles & back & forth.
I love Tiger Brindle dogs, my old Staff x was too! It's a shame though cause most of their dogs were Staffies or x Staffies. I didn't choose Chaya, when I called up they said about her & that she's the only one that should be ok with cats right now but I didn't care on breed or colour or age as long as it wasn't a puppy & loved her right away.
They did actually say they won't take hand in Staffies cause they're so difficult to home, which I understand but it's upsetting cause all dogs deserve a home! Tho I guess maybe the breed rescue would be the best place to find a home for them? They said they only take the stray ones.
I'm just so glad I have her even tho I got her near xmas! My early 30th b'day present to myself! lol
She has two wart/skin tag type things & one fatty lump that i'll have checked, wondering whether to have them taken off when she's neutered or if they'd just grow back? I can't understand why anyone parted with her or didn't find her. She rarely barks not even at the door, is fine with the cat, she even tells me now when the cat wants to come in so I have both the cat & the dog telling me :rolleyes:0 -
ooo i've seen a nice leather (I think) collar I want for her at P@H but it's a buckle one, are they ok? Hers now is one of those snap fastenings cause I dunno with a buckle one how safe they are, as in how quick & easy to release if she fights/gets caught etc0
