Quick question for those kind enough to help so far:
I have one oustanding parcel with I have whilst waiting for an echeque to clear. I guess I just keep checking Paypal and post when it clears is this correct-thanks?
Also I have had messages form buyers saying they are really pleased with there item and how can they leave positive feedback as "no longer registered". How should I reply to these people as I guess there is no way or advantage in leaving feedback now account has gone? Thank you
Send out everything that needs to be sent out and thank the people who've tried to leave good feedback.
Good luck with everything."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

My take on it is that an indefinite suspension gives no indication of the length of the suspension, but does not rule out that the suspension will, at some point in the future, be lifted. A permanent suspension is just that - permanent, never to be lifted. That's why people are telling Heskpesk not to do as you are suggesting, as it will result in his suspension being made permanent. At least with an indefinite suspension, there's a chance Ebay will lift it at some point (and with a lot of grovelling by Heskpesk).
You never get back on, honestly."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I have now had my second response to email appeal basically saying the suspension stands. It states basically that I was warned not to break Ebay rules and that I then had 22 items removed. However they will not answer when I was warned and what for and cannot answer why the 22 items were removed. They implied if I did not have the 22 itmes removed then things would have been okay.
I still do not know why these were removed as in my opinion did not break any rules and were no different from the items that remained that were not removed (if that makes sense)0 -
Well it does not look I have any chance of being reinstated so could anyone answer a couple of questions for me please:
I wish to tie up any oustanding fees owed etc. I was set up for automatic fee withdrawal will they just take what is owed or can I make a one of payment to satisfy my bill. If so how do I do this and will it let me as account is blocked???
Also i am still getting daily emails from my favourite searches and cannot seem to delete these searches as again my account is blocked. It seems sill to get emails everyday when I cannot use Ebay to buy anything of interest.
Just wish to sort everything out so I do not owe any fees.
Finally I have a couple of hundred pounds in the connected Paypal account should I withdraw this or do i need to leave in incase of the unlikely event that the people I have posted to open a dispute????
Thank you again for advice0 -
Unfortunately this is very typical of The New Improved Ebay - they will uphold any decisions made, without actually looking why those stupid decisions were taken in the first place. It's somewhere between catch 22 and "computer says no", decision of suspension was upheld because you listed something they told you not to. Why did they tell you not to list it? That's.. well.. no longer part of the process.. it's in the linear past, written in stone, unchangable, noone will ever know why "no" is "no".
Last week they removed my listing of completely unbranded vintage item, an item without any logo or name - for Trademark breach (so called MC019). It was, I cross my heart, item without any trademark, label, name, nothing. No name was implied, no registered trademark words or slogans were used in listing. It was literally completely surreal - almost like being accused of selling counterfeit tupperware when all you listed was a black rubbish bin. I objected (and boy, that is one tough link to find, the appeal page). They upheld the decision explaining to me why counterfeit and fake goods are bad. I objected again, since my item had nothing to do with counterfeiting or fake goods. They basically pulled "talk to the hand" routine. Strike one - policy compliance in Sellers Dashboard marked as "Failing"...
The stupidity of it makes you so angry you would gladly join class action or just sue, just so you can teach them to improve on service, but they pretty much escape any rules and regulations. It's not like you are going to take them to court in Luxemburg for a pair of trousers or £50 worth of old instrument from the attic.
Even press don't touch them, because today's eBay is something between 1930ies mob and a product of imagination from Kafka's books - meandering and growing from itself dark matter - some gordian knot monstrocity where you constantly stumble against paradoxes - like refunds for items going through "Unpaid dispute" procedures just to get your 40p listing fees back or options to appeal anything hidden in the furthest parts of most bizarre pages. And then, in the whole lack of human touch, and absence of anybody to talk to when you need answers, you find there is actually someone back there spending their days on making most enigmatic, puzzling decisions like conveniently removing genuine listings of brands not even listed in VeRO right next to the few untouchable powersellers flogging them by shiploads.0 -
Search the BBC for "ebay" and then tell me that all they get is good publicity...Even press don't touch them, right next to the few untouchable powersellers flogging them by shiploads.
Now we get to the real point. Powerseller bashing again.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

It's the sensationalist two minute headlines that make it to the sites. As far as I can see noone ever made a proper story on the often questionable mechanisms behind eBay or Paypal business models. A high street bank that would hold your money hostage for 21 days until you provide them "good feedback from third party" or convert your instant payments into 9 day long echeques willy nilly would be shut down accompanied by canonade of press firing with all at it within days. You know it's true.
I'm sorry if it diluted the point I was trying to make, but no - it's not about bashing user titles. Now we get to the real point. Powerseller bashing again.
There are categories where you would be eaten alive if you, as a regular powerseller tried to list few hundred genuine, products that you, for example, imported. In the recent past sports merchandise and power tools would send one on a bench faster than one can do "vroom" drilling noise. Today, it's the jeans, bags and the dreaded hair straighteners that make us see housewives chased by lawyers and henchmen and UK distrubutor powergripping small time sellers and demanding £££ "damages" from every teenage girl silly enough to try sell her iron second hand. Outside of 1930ies Chicago - who on earth does that? And what kind of manufacturer allows their regional distributor to behave that way?
In the real world, we already know that notions such as those of manufacturer restricting or imposing limitations as to where and how their products can be sold in retail, already have been debunked and legal precedence is in place after supermarkets vs big brands trials.
But what eBay does is wrong on yet another level. It's the fact that those few powerplayers seem to have ability of shaking any competition off the ebay tree with Customer Service Support running and fetching for them like little minions. In my particular case, my listing (and about dozen other vintage items as far as I could see) was removed because some a-hole powerplayer in Ireland reported aledged trademark infringement. There were no trademarks in my listing, all eBay people had to do was to check and view what they were removing. But no. Wasn't to be. Noone will check, noone will review, noone will take reasonable stance, noone will see if your appeal is right. They won't even tell you who's trademark you allegedly infringed. It gives whoever in Ireland reported this outrageous claim, free hand to wipe the auctions and shape what they perceive as competition as they see fit.0
