Urgent Advice Required Please- Account Suspended

Please could somebody help me I awoke this morning to chaos concerning my EBay account. The first message was this one:

Unauthorised Item 243682831

Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, your item(s) breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site. Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified.
)

"We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely for breaching eBay's Trademark Breach - Unauthorised Item policy.

Trademark infringement is unlawful and breaches eBay's policies. A trademark is a unique sign (such as a name, word, phrase, logo, or symbol) that a company uses to identify its products and/or services.

Using another company's trademark in a way that may confuse buyers about the source of goods or services, or confuses buyers into believing that the seller is affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the trademark owner is both illegal and against eBay's policies. Examples include counterfeits, unauthorised replica items and items that bear the brand or logo of a company without that company's permission.

Guideline: If the product you are listing bears the brand or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or authorised by that company, don't sell it on eBay.

You may not deny knowledge of, or disclaim responsibility for, the authenticity or legality of any item you list, for example by adding a disclaimer to your listing. Before listing an item on eBay, you should make sure that you're legally able to sell the item and that it's authentic. If you're not sure whether an item is authentic, please don't list it on eBay.

Due to the serious nature of the breaches on your account, your account cannot be considered for reinstatement. You are prohibited from using eBay in any way, including registering a new account.

Please be advised that this suspension does not relieve you of your obligation to pay any fees that you may owe to eBay.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety"

The second message was this one with the same item number as above on title: (243682831) but two recently finished listings underneath:

" Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, your item(s) breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site. Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified.

280274123431 - LEVI JEANS FADED BLUE WAIST 32 LEG 30 RED TAB STYLE:581

Why did we remove your listing?

Trademark infringement is unlawful and breaches eBay's policies. A trademark is a unique sign (such as a name, word, phrase, logo, or symbol) that a company uses to identify its products and/or services.

Although there may be similar items currently listed on eBay, please be assured that your listings have not been targeted in any way. We review all listings that are reported to us by eBay members and participants in the VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) Programme, and we rely on these reports to help keep eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell.

We appreciate your membership of our community, so please keep in mind that repeatedly listing items that breach our policies may lead to the suspension of your account.

Here's what to do if you have further questions:

1) To find out more about our intellectual property policies and VeRO take eBay's brief tutorial by copying this link into a new browser window:

http://pages.ebay.ie/help/tutorial/verotutorial/intro.html

2) You may also find it useful to read the "Why eBay May Remove Your Listing" Help page by copying this link into a new browser window:

http://pages.ebay.ie/help/confidence/listing-ended.html

3) If your item was ended by the VeRO programme, and you think the listing was removed in error have a look at the rights owner's About Me page to review their infringement policies. Then, if you still think that your listing was removed in error, please contact the rights owner and let them know.

If you still have questions after reading this information, you can contact eBay by clicking "Contact Us" on any eBay Help page.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

eBay Trust & Safety "

Finally another message was sent:

" Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, your item(s) breached one or more of our policies and had to be removed from the site. Any associated fees have been credited to your account and any bidders on this item have been notified"

This message was then followed with every item I was currently listing. It seems the problem item was 243682831 but I can not even check what this was as my account is blocked and when I type into search is says item removed.

I want to talk to customer support but cannot find a suitable number. Has anyone got any ideas as im in a right panic and people are already emailing me saying they have attempted to pay and got message saying I am no longer registered.

Do I have any options and do I still send the parcels I was due to post today? What about other outstanding issues? Please help??

Thank you so much in advance to anyone that can help me with this situation

  • Looks like a VeRO thing. I know Levi don't like anyone other than authorised resellers to sell their branded lines. I guess all you can do is contact ebay and tell them you didn't realise there would be a problem selling these items. Have a look here to see what you can do:

Hmmmm...can't see Levi Strauss on the VeRO scheme page.

I reckon another seller or someone you've !!!!ed off has reported you for selling fakes. You'll have to prove to Ebay that your levis were genuine.

Thanks I found a telephone number on google for help: 0871 4345449 and it was a recorded message telling me to call 09066356657 at £1.50 per min!!

How can I find out exactly what item 243682831 was? When I search on Ebay it says removed (as it has been)- can I double check that this item number was the jeans?? Thanks

Also how do i check as blocked what items need posting and deal with outstanding orders???

Surely you know what you listed? You could try Ebay livehelp by going via the .com website. They'll be able to tell you what the item was.

    Ebay.co.uk = 0208 6053000 (normal helpline), 0208 6053028 (law enforcement hotline?!)
www.saynoto0870.com is a great website. Just put in the company name and up pops the normal phone number. ;)

Don't know if that link will work. If not, the link to livehelp is on the upper right hand corner of the screen just below the "My Ebay" button. I don't think you have to be signed in to use it.

  • Do you still have your email from ebay when you listed the item? You should be able to find it by typing in the item number in your email search.

Forget that number, it is a scam site that just talks you through the ebay help pages and is not associated with ebay at all.

item number 243682831 is not either of the jeans. You had 52 items listed, mainly designer ones (and still not registered as a business as I have mentioned before, even buying and selling second hand makes you a business).

Give me a moment and I 'll track down which item it is.

OK, it doesn't appear to be any of the 52 items I can see, although some of those are in the VERO programme I am sure, Armani, Dolce and Gabanna and Timberland maybe.
