Wow I feel so emotional reading through everyones ups and downs, my heart goes out to you all.
I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the whole TTC there is so much information to take in! Especially reading through all these posts, I just worry I'm missing something.
Anyway I'm doing well with my weightloss and have gotten my BMI below 29, its hovering between 28.6 and 28.8 atm. I was having a mild worry that AF is on her way and I would gain weight by bloatingThen I came home from work last night to find a letter from the ACU saying that due to unforseen circumstances my appointment has been put back a week! Now I'm trying to look on the brightside and see it as time to shift another pound or so, but on the flip side I was so focused on the appt. that I feel kinda aarrgghh! I know its only a week but the suspense of wanting to know whats going to be happening is awful.

Yup - that's about right Lilo. I did watch the video on the website but it just feels like it'll spring back into its full shape once it's in place and I'll be walking like John Wayne! :rotfl:
I can't imagine being taught by a real live person how to put in something like that. I suppose I can see how it could be better than trying to figure it out yourself as they know exactly how to do it and then you know how it should feel if it's in right, but it doesn't exactly sound like fun!0 -
Just be firm and confident - I thought it looked far too big when I first saw it, but I think thats just to make sure you get a good fit!! Did you know that they size you for these things!!!!! I am glad you have seen a video - I reread my description and it could have been taken all sorts of ways!!!! The only thing I would say is that once you have mastered it its really easy to get in and out, ( Oh by the way you just get your finger under the edge and pull!!!!!!!??!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) - and, dont read if you are squeamish - you get a squelching noise as it comes out due to the suction effect:eek:
Who would be a woman:mad: - Im coming back as a man!!!!!:T

Hi to you all
Been reading for a while and trying for over 3 years. Only just before xmas did we get anywhere with docs. To be honest since the new GPs have started at our practice they've been pretty good. They have rung us to discuss test results (sperm for oh and bloods for me), referred us to urology for oh low count and called us back in. Looks like getting referred to fertility clinic but recommended we get ourselves checked for stds to save time later when referred to fertility expert! oh booked in for mri, bloods and xrays whilst me for further tests too. Can't fault them so far although should have happened 2 years back.
Not good as my eggs are ancient and few and oh has low count!! We might have to content ourselves with our cat after all! At least our GPs have an SOH as well - suggested we watch Maybe Baby so as not to get fixated!
I'm so pleased for all of you that get a positive and good luck to everyone. Just wanted to say "hi" and say that although I don't post here I do understand and figured I should show my face as it were.0 -
Well I'll report back on my Insteadcup experiences next week - sounds like it could be 'interesting' to say the least!!
I've also taken advice from a few weeks ago and got myself booked in for a slightly overdue (by 3 months) smear next week. I must get the nurse to check my bloods as I'm a bit concerned that I didn't have a 3-day test done, and by the sounds of it I should have.0 -
Good evening Girlies........
Well im due at the Dr's tomorrow to get my results from my 2nd blood test results to see if my prolactin levels are still too high n hopefully to be told what happens next.
Im scared that he will tell us there is no way on earth we can have a baby, but exited at the same time that he will tell me that everything is goin to be alright n i will get pregnant soon! My DH is away on a course in UK just now so i have to go alone. Really wish he was at home to come with me but the dr did want to see me asap.
None of my friends here know were TTC as i cant take them asking us all the time if were pg yet etc. It was bad enough in work today when first a woman with a new born came in to pick up paperwork and show off her beautiful baby, then we had 2 letters from ppl informing us of their pregnancys and maternity leave dates. Then i had the other 3 girls in the office say "so pixie, when are you goin to have a baby??"
I hate the fact that these things just hurt more as time goes by! Oh well cant dwell too much otherwise id live my life in tears lol

You're in that twilight zone nightmare world where everyone has just had a baby, is expecting, or thinks it's fun and appropriate to ask when you are going to have one. I think we can all relate to that!

Well, we had out GP appointment today. It went better than I thought it would (very low expectations). He just started in our practice, so still wasn't sure about few things - for example how semen analysis works, so OH is gong to get a call tomorrow telling him if they made an appointment for him, if he has to do it at home, or in hospital, etc. I was signed off to have blood test done - one on day 2, 3 or 4 and another one on day 20 or 21. He told it doesn't matter if I do first day 20/21 test and then the day 3, so if my meeting is later on Tuesday, I might be able to have the first test done! I don't even need to make an appointment, just turn up at hospital and have it done (well, wait in a queue if there is one). For Day 3 test he wrote down a whole list: full blood count, serum ferritin, TFT, prolactin, FSH, LH, Testosterone!!!! I am happy things are starting to move a bit. Hopefully, by the end of February I should have my tests done, and OH will have semen analysis done and we can be told if there is anything obvious stoping us from getting pregnant. I am going to tell my mum next tike we speak that we are tring and try and find out if there is any history in family about troubles conceiving (Well, I don't know any!!!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Hi everyone, glad everyone is well and welcome to the newbies, you have come to the right thread, and you will be well looked after.
As you have seen, I couldnt keep away, and have been posting if I have felt that I could assist, but now can update on my own situation.
I have now had all the tests, scans, internals, biopsy's (stress, strain, lost sleep not eating!!!!) and ...................... it HAS NOT SPREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have got my referral to the Marsden, and go up on Tuesday to see the Professor. We have our fingers crossed several times that he will agree to the trachelectomy rather than the radical hysterectomy and then once I get the all clear, I will be BACK TO TTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:j :T :j :T:T :j :T :j

(Obviously you may have a very depressed post on Wednesday but for now Im delighted!!!!)

Hi lilo
I was just going to PM you to see how you were doing!
I am so so pleased for you. :j
In the circumstances its the best news you could have. As you are TTC he should agree to the trac over the hyst. If he doesn't I'd be seeking a second opinion.
take care
