Hey girls, as you can tell from the time I'm posting I have some news.
Hubbie came home last night with news he had a promotion at work. We had a lovely evening and this morning, even though AF isn't due until Sunday and I didn't think we had conceived this month, I thought I'd do a test just in case I could give him some more good news. And within one minute of poas, I had a BFP!!!!!!!!! This was just a 25mui one too, so I am hopeful that its right, though may of course be testing several times over the next few days just to confirm.
So I guess the sickness on Monday was morning sickness after all, and the sperm count diet does work...
Good luck to everyone else who's testing this month, and if the BFP sticks I will be checking in still to follow everyone's progress.0 -
Congratulations Nicki! :j
Best wishes for the coming months!

Just to let those of you know who have hubby on Zinc supplements. Tesco have a pack of 180 tabs on half price this week. They are £1.95.
My hubby said he didn't need any yet but I told him for half price he is having some :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Congratulations Nicki WELL DONE!!!! Maybe the luck on this thread is changing!!
AnnieM - If the test wasnt carried out straight away, the sperm count may be lower that it actually is, and they should have checked the other things which sperm should do as well, the names escape me, as this could mean that you have the same number of ative sperm as anyone else!! Get him on some decent supplements, my DH takes wellman, as it has the zinc you need, is a good multi vitamin, and also contains some of the amino acids necessary for healthy sperm. Also smoking and drinking can affect the result, as can the groin being too hot!!!!! Manly bits hang outside the body for a reason and getting too hot can affect quality!!!!
And above all, dont lose hope, he has 15 million, which is a huge number of little wrigglers, dont forget IT ONLY TAKES ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats 14,999,999 spare each time!!
Myaccount08 -Spend the money if you can - its worth it for the peace of mind - you cant wait another 6 weeks for reassurance. Do your hospital not have an Early pregnancy unit (not at your GP at the hospital itself) They are usually fantastic, I have never heard of people in your situation being treated like that - it stinks. Have you tried your local midwife/GP to make a noise and get it!! If I have learnt one thing, it seems to be that you have to stand up for yourself and stand your ground for what you want as people want their own easy life, and dont want to help. All the best whatever happens

CONGRATULATIONS NICKI!!!!!!! :j:beer:
Thanks to people for the info and support about DH's count. He's going to see if he can get an explanation from the doctor of the morphology and motility too, and ask for a re-test as well. Think we'll be going to Tesco's tomorrow to stock up un vitamins!

Shelley will deffinatley check out those zinc tablets I'm hoping they will do the trick.
Well my appointment at the ACU has been put back a week gah! Was so set on it just to find out what happens next. Well at least its only a week and it will give me time to shift another few pounds so my BMI is even more healthy. The BMI is where it needs to be but am still continuing with the weight loss as I want to be as healthy as possible when I get my BFPBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Congrats nicki :j :j
I hope your pregnancy will go alot smoother and easier than mine has been so far! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months :T Chucking lots of sticky dust your way**
re my scan, i did have one at the hospital EPU @ 5+3, that's when the found 2 the empty sacs. They said if the pain got really bad i was to go to A&E, but otherwise they were referring me on to the midwife and would have a scan at 12 weeks. They're very slow here though, i know someone who was still waiting for hers at 14 weeks! Lilo you're right i probably should demand one but i'm not very assertiveThe spotting and pain is off and on now so i'm just trying to stay calm and thank God i'm in the position to worry in the first place!
Not sure if im allowed to post this but i have new and unwanted Wellman vits. DH says he doesn't need them  It's the 50+ ones (although its 99% the same as the "younger" mans one). I'd got him 4 months worth. They've got over 30 ingredients an cost £8.80 each. I'd happily give them 1/2 price for anyone here. Thats the link for them > http://www.vitabiotics.com/wellman/wellman_50_formula.aspx0
